some things dont change

Last friday (18th Dec), I went on a short trip to Johor Bahru (Taman Pelangi Indah) with my Mum in the morning. We met up with Uncle and shopped at Jusco for groceries. The exchange rate was 1:2.43-.44 and everything was really cheap lol. I could have bought my Lee Cooper Leena red color shoes if not for the limited stock, the usual. Anyway I bought a handphone strap and some chocolates. Too bad no time to continue my hunt for the shoes though..

We spent the rest of our Friday at home, just lazing around actually. It was far too short to laze around 'cause the following day I exited the customs with my Uncle and rushed to school. It was for Ren Ci Hospital, flag-raising day. Okay, I thought I would get the green CSC shirt but oh well.
After wasting time, we finally took a bus ride over to City Hall to commence the event. I went to Marina Square's entrance but of course, it gives me a feeling of familiarity - the roadshows we used to work at. Plus, the crowd is never-ending. I was really hardworking, repeating the same phrase continuously I felt like recording and re-playing to the next person. Surprisingly I didn't suffer any sore throat nor flu from my repetition of lines and the occurence of heavy rainstorm.

It took me 2 hours, still, to fill the tin almost to the brim. My hands were too tired from holding the heavier tin and my exhaustion. After I returned I went to Pacific City for entertainment lol. My laptop was sent to repair for 2 entire weeks - so I used the Macbook for some leisure. Then there was an overflowing of crowd, such that I was mistaken for a staff I don't understand why. I think because I was playing on the Macbook lol. There was Edogawa and Sumo. I noticed that the people who walked in are very decisive. Once they set their minds on something, they just say, "I'll take it", walk to the cashier and pay for the item(s). Well that wasn't the cause for this Caucasian couple though.

Alright, now the most exciting part. I met up with Addy to make our way to Changi Airport. Pengsoon was already there, Vicki reached shortly, Kelvin got out at 6.30pm - our meeting time. Haha. We had dinner at Xin Wang HK Café. Simply chatting and reminiscing and wondering, how comfortable we were together, when it has been almost a year since we've last hanged out! Maybe Kel was right - we had such a strong bond it simply rekindles. Well, I left a seat for Cherie...

Next was supposedly the viewing mall which Addy so much wanted to view. But we viewed this instead -

That was when we decided to watch this fantastic movie about the Qing dynasty (1906) period where fights for democracy were uprising. We watched the 0020 show at Shaw Century Square. With ample time, we went to Coffee Bean first.

1905, City of Victoria (British Colony of Hong Kong)

In the distance of thirteen blocks, the one man who holds a nations fate must survive relentless attempts on his life with only five bodyguards to protect him. Against hundreds of assassins, these men must put their courage to the test in order to protect the hopes of millions in this perilous night even if it means fighting to the death...

For more details - visit http://ent.sina.com.cn/f/m/shywch/index.shtml

The movie ended. It was such a magnificent movie I couldn't think of anything to say. We splitted - peng, vick & i; addy & kel - and took cab home. =)

interesting routine

I'm proud to say, I'm going back to training woooooooooooooot.

Haha, okay it may have been an excuse - I pulled my ligament & healing from the heavy collision from IVP - but it's a fact that I've spent HUNDREDS of dollars for treatment and etc. because of it. Nvm, a whole new experience huh LOL.

First I'll have to say, I've watched a whole lot of movies during these 2 almost-super-free months. Other than internship, I'm pretty free. Well even with internship, I was pretty free but shall not explain it here as details are strictly confidential. So since I was too free, I hanged out with a group of friends like almost every day.

Paranormal activity; My girlfriend is an agent; 2012; Zombieland; 风云II

These were the recent movies I've watched. All I can say is My gf is an agent is an awesome movie and those who missed it, you missed out ALOT. The others, I have not much comments. However for 2012, I really suffered a bad ache throughout the 3-hour length film.

Life has been quite a wonderful routine. The frequent mahjong sessions were what I looked forward to during my boring internship days. During the soccer sessions, time always pass by quickly and strangely I was never bored. There's also Adeline and Mingyue to do some catching up once in a while. There's also the fengshan buddies where we'll meet up on a monthly basis or something.

At least for this semester I'll have my friends in most of the lectures so I won't want to skip. Plus, I get to see Dhatch almost every day of the school week. Recently we've been meeting up with jovita, cheryl, florence and jiemin too. There's also this sort of Air Rifle outing this Saturday. Yup, it's getting real boring.

I've attended my first riding practical and it became clear to me that for some lessons, it is IMPOSSIBLE to pass with first try as the lesson has to cover what 100mins is not enough to do so. The bike is damn heavy, no joke. Even guys have difficulty setting the brakes on/off the stands. It takes technique and strength oh man. My arm ached the next day, badly. It's not easy but it won't be too hard for me. :)

The breeze I felt at probably 30km/h was too cooling to be true. The experience was simply great and I didn't feel like I was falling or anything close. I have a feeling I would love my Kawasaki, when I get it. <3

Alright, going Malaysia to take a breather from Friday morning till Saturday. I'll do nothing at home anyway.

happy day!

i feel so honoured coz changsong said there were more laughters because i was there. (added with sarcasm)

anyway actually i feel quite happy. (not with reference to the above)

even though i'm having really sore shoulders which most likely resulted in sitting through 9 episodes of smallville.

went to rocher blk 4 chien chi tow with my mum again. saw my uncle but no massaging this time round.

i sat at soup spoon trying to enjoy the fudge cake and caffe latte after going to food for thought to find it closed on sundays.

room for dessert was closed too, as i have concluded, when no one picked up the phone.

after which i went to iluma for at least 1 hour, exploring and checking out Sony Ericsson W995 and the accessories. it's in the no. 1 to get list now.

then i saw this watch shop trends on my way out. and it was a love at first sight... which would leave me with $260 less in my bank account.

on the left - this is the closest i can find
on the right - it attracted my attention

i think i'm changing target lol.

feels that i have not enough money now with 300 here 300 there and 300 everywhere. nothing left! i need a high paying job man.

shin yuu = 亲友 LOL

yesterday was the day we celebrate hong & cs birthday which is today.

first i went swimming with a few and i'm half-tanned half-burned now. we swam for about 2 hours and i'm improving!

second we took 67 which was an hour and a half long ride to bukit timah road and made our way to Shin Yuu at 16 Greenwood Ave. buffet is 48++ for each person. there was a lot of variety and good food, definitely worth the price. total there was 10 of us which got us a private room with special service lol. the manager kept coming in to take orders and recommend some dishes not in the menu. he even gave us free flow of iced green tea after i ate that spicy tuna California roll. total bill amounted to 576.70 or somewhere along there. most of them were on hong-loan lol.

third we took 67 back but this time it's faster without the jam. then we went home and made our way to mahjong till dawn. all's well till when we slept, we could never wake up and continue playing lol. a re-match? maybe tonight hah.

while on the way back, bryan and i were separated by the aisle. even when people left he refused to move his butt. then there was this man sitting beside me, he couldn't stand it anymore and stood up to exchange seats with him. only then he shifted. lol it was damn funny, including some funny messages and the creative zen vision m.

i want to swim more run more play basketball more. stamina sucks eh. and tp refused to give me the NAPFA fitness training lol ass.

nothing beats a nice get together.

woot. just came back from gab's place after a birthday surprise spoilt by zhuang keyi. seriously she could have smsed wuss or that unknown number and anyone else instead of gabriel right. anyway, i specially got the cake from awfully chocolate from katong and arrived after 12pm.

only weijie, changsong, wuss, gab, eugene and i were there as the rest couldn't make it. they dota and we mahjong and i got lazy so didn't go over to millenia walk to meet cherie and adeline. no luck in gambling at all man.

had lunch nearby. ordered canadian pizza and went down for table tennis while waited for its arrival. it was fun playing all of them looked as if they had been playing a lot last time. next time we can play badminton or tennis and night cycling etc.

last sunday went to geylang with eeyen for dinner. from lunch dragged to dinner actually. first lor 29 bak kut teh and some fish soup, then yong he's soya bean milk, bean curd, fried fritters and this shao bing, and finally this warm milk tea with goat's milk which we only took a sip of and the beef pancake at this 蒙古 place at lor 15.

it's really the tiny, noticeable things that mattered okay. it was a nice get together after a long while. i'll make it a point to not lose contact with a good friend again.

friday was a historical day! i came to yue's place to find yuan helping stan with his report. then, he offered to give me a ride to yuan's soka and back to yue's place haha. it was like a whole new experience. never had such a bumpy and hilarious and memorable ride before. wang mingyue missed out ALOT! date longer la. told you i was going over at 9 plus already.

i look forward to graduation and then i shall slowly plan my taiwan trip, learn some additional languages and save up for a world tour! best solution is to become an air stewardess. working towards the goal - improve swimming, learn makeup skills, be elegant (HAHA) and learn advanced japanese.

Had buffet with mum and dad at Plaza Parkroyal. Nice food, nice environment. Free of charge.

problematic child. 问题儿童.

Oh, time flies. It's been a month wow.

So to continue from my previous post, Jerome was greatly missed so I asked him out for LAN on the following Saturday (22nd August). He found me at Starbucks studying after Rowena left with Nas. Because of Rowena, I heard WeiLian sang live at Bugis that day. Somehow she brings luck to me.

The following Saturday (29th Auguest), I was glad there was no Kumon. Went to Kbox at Downtown East with yuan, stan, el, constance and yue. A nice get together once in a while.

The last day of August (31st), since I was going to watch Final Destination with Dhatch and florenz, I went to find cuiwen and moon. Pleasant surprise, we both agreed. (:

The next day (1st September), I didn't want to go Sentosa alone (anywhere but Sentosa) so I'd asked florenz since she's so free. We had 2 rounds of Skyride following the Luge. Fun, but not fast enough.

There was a class lunch which only 9 people turned up on the 3rd of September at Tao's Restaurant. The food was averagely nice however it's more of only satisfactory level. Not one I would specially go back for anything.

Over the weekends (4th & 5th September), mum and I went to Pelangi Indah because of florenz's initial suggestion of shopping at JB. So thanks to her, I sort of relaxed over there but then this time it was more of boring than relaxing. My mind wasn't at peace. When I drove my aunt's 11 year-old manual car, it was so loose I can't control it at all. It's alright though, time will come again.

Before the commencement of SIP on 09/09/09, I went for a cheap hair cut before meeting the guys rick, gem yl for Astons Specialities at Katong. After which, with my convincing skills off we go to Home of Pool for pool of course. Then, we continued our plan for L4D. Those 2 got so addicted the first time trying and I had to keep chasing them off the computers. It was only till 2 plus in the wee hours that they finally stood up! My first day of SIP, I tried so hard to stay awake while listening to everything Jason had to say.

The attire would be just casual, but I took the chance and spotted this pair of white Converse covered shoes and bought it, after 1 hour of consideration haha. Few days later, I finally got myself determined to get this pair of purple and white Asics sports shoes too. There is never enough. Guess it's pretty true though females usually go for flats and slippers etc.

Went to the Comex show for 3 out of the 4 days. To find rick & yl and have dinner with gem at Pepper Lunch (the other 2 too full). To have dinner together including yongxing at Carl's Jr. To have supper with cs bryan (that idiot left though) gab eugene guangwei yanqi keyi at some coffeeshop place in Bugis (we walked over from Suntec) to find all the full timers there too.

Finally met up with Yewf & Daniel too on Saturday night. Hope all goes well for you bro. Even though there wasn't much contact, I slowly realized it's not the quantity and that I've quite misunderstood some of the intentions. Anyway, just glad that some things remain.

JUMP at Esplanade Concert Hall on the 13th September. It was wonderful, got me high and motivated but I don't really get the story since they're all Koreans and don't speak our kind of English and without microphones and seated at Circle 1 doesn't exactly helps especially this irritating woman beside me must lean forward on the railings and block who knows how many people's view. Nevertheless, it was a nice martial arts performance.

Just had a overnight stay at Orchid Country Club for Priscilla Soo 's 20th birthday celebration on the 18th September. The events were all planned out. Poolside party (missed that), KTV, Pool, back to sleep or do whatever you want. I went with aizhen & 永远强壮的永壮. He's 1983 baby, 2 years to black belt. The duets for pris & yc were very smoothing and enjoyable too.

Out of 5 rounds we played I won once. Then back to square one. Played daidee at first then just sat down and chatted before they decided to finish off the Martell bought from the Aranda lounge. So here we go, up/down, 3 cards lowest points wins. Everybody takes a sip here and there, then half a cup for each round, pretty soon the Martell was finished. We continued with Carlsberg but time flies when you're having fun. yc had to leave for work at 6 and then we all had a rest.

Henri came to fetch me from Yishun Central and roughly told me about what he's doing now. On our way back (he had to go aljunied), I drove him there WOOT! It's a manual mini van with a confusing rearview and being 190cm him, the side mirrors and rearview mirror were really out of my alignment. Just as I got in and all set, 2 cars were blocking everyone's way. Who knows what really happened to the owner of the first car. It seems to me that a young boy was moving forward so as not to block the way. It also seems that 2 cars were fighting for the same parking lot. I have no idea.

I was so panicky because his reverse is different from the usual cars and the turning was so narrow and there was no space on the left side previously because of the car blocking everyone's way. I forgot to turn there must be allowance on the right side you see. Just got up the driver's seat and this kinda thing happened. Unlucky huh!? I didn't dare to continue so we switched back lol. I became the driver again after getting out of the building.

At first I was getting used to. We were at Marine Parade and he didn't give clear instructions beforehand so we were making a merry-go-round and I took off my slippers too for better handling. The clutch wasn't loose (it's only 3 year-old) so I was used to it after a short while. Pretty soon I went up to gear 4 and down and up and down. Basically the journey was smooth BUT you must enter the driver's world to understand the dangers and the irresponsibilities and recklessness of certain drivers. Namely, the MALE drivers.

I am never gonna drive at Aljunied/Geylang area, till I have seasoned my driving skills. The drivers there are HORRIBLE and IMPOLITE and just squeeze through any space they could find. Crap right. Haha thanks Henri for entrusting your car to me. Woooo~

问题儿童. Simply means I ask too much. -.-

be myself day

friday was be myself day.

breakfast was at Coffee Club. first time having a meal there, the food was quite good but the service was excellent overall. however nice the food is, it is not much to my liking. i like my apples to be in a pie; i like the mushrooms to be boiled; i like my coffee to be white coffee tarik; i like my waffles to go with ice-cream and plenty of chocolate syrup. other than that, all's fine.

lunch was sort of skipped. spent my afternoon playing poker on facebook. i'm currently addicted to the game which is not a good sign as i ought to be focus. finally bought 走唱 陈伟联 and 陈奕迅 不想放手. i realisd i've grew up to become more daring and confident, arrogant in a sense. since we've had $20 vouchers, i borrowed a popular card for a 10% off the stationery while the vouchers for my albums. actually we only saved $2 but there was $6 off Eason's album because of GSS ?!?

getting the albums were my motivation to go for work. so apparently i lost my motivation to work earlier today as i called in sick. i would have gone to work, with sickness, if there were sufficient motivation. need to spare a thought for the kids though.

the other day i bought 2 formal blouses from dorothy perkins. on friday, a pair of formal pants from G2000. ii was very troubled as i have no idea yet if these were necessary. if not, perhaps for a proper full time job i'd find myself after graduation. even with the traveling plans or sign on, i'm sure it'll all work out nicely.

anyway, dinner was at the soup spoon. i'd say it was only so-so but the chocolate cake looks fine, i'll probably come back just for that though. the clam chowder wasn't that bad but the sandwich tasted too much of capsicums and unappetising. after dinner i went for a little workout. 324 was the score, not too bad but at the end of it bascially my hands were almost numb.

then, i thought of jerome. wished we could have played counterstrike, blackshot, left4dead or dota together. well, i had fun playing all that (except dota) and it was really enjoyable. never felt so relaxed for a long time.

fate brought me to dhoby ghaut, so i thought of trying the rocher bean curd, again. to my dismay it tasted about the same as before even though the before was already cold. guess i still prefer Mr Bean's no matter what. the queue was amazingly long, especially being a friday night i guess. along my way, there is this Mr Bean cafe 24hours. i'm going to go there for supper or what someday.

i did whatever i felt like doing. out. then, i watched whatever i wanted to watch. though there are still LOTS of shows like Doraemon, Tom & Jerry, and some HK dramas and some TW dramas recommended by some friends, and some animes highly recommended by a friend. i'll finish all that during my SIP period, where all time is to be spent in front of my laptop, watching stuffs. that'll be my mission.

till then.

Sweden with you.

Ho-ho.

I went to school at 6pm when I had no lessons (self-declared holiday). We were doing Trading and Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet for 3 financial years for his Entrepreneurship (CDS). It was already almost 9pm so we took a cab to Ikea for a delightful dinner. The fare was not even 5 bucks.

Chocolate mousse. 2 Pasta with Meatballs. 15pcs Meatballs. 6pcs Chicken Wings. 2 Soft drinks.
Total: $36
Level of Satisfaction: Max.
Level of Fullness: Exceed Max.

So we walked around the place but the furnitures were all upstairs so didn't see much. More of to digest our food. I bought this bar of Sweden dark chocolate before leaving too. Continued our walk to the stop with 39 and there we parted.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, but makes the mind forget.
Sometimes I do forget the existence of some cherished friends, but the moment we meet up again, nothing has changed. Love this feeling. Thanks for the almost-free meal. The food was definitely better than that of Deli France. I think I just spoiled my appetite (wanting better quality food).

:)

say something happy

I passed with 10 points. Dramatic experience coz in my mind I was already thinking, it was a goner. To my surprise, I passed! You don't know how disturbing it was when he 'tap tap tap' on that whatever system they call.

So I passed everything first time, with a total of $1,052.20, inclusive of theory (BTT e trial too! waste of money i'd say) and practical along with PDL and my driving license. :)

Thing is, it seemed as though nobody could fail. I was real panicky and my engine even stalled. Once, as I was waiting to make a right turn back to Ubi. Forgotten to change back to gear 1 as I was moving into the circuit. Then, I forgot to change to gear 1 into the S course resulting in striking kerb. It was my first station, not a good start definitely. Up and down the slope was quite bumpy and I made sure I knew his exact instructions were by double confirming. However after doing a perpendicular parking (it was gooood. first i turned too fast then i turned right and left full lock and tada!), he told me to U-turn at that narrow place and told me to move towards the kerb and park there. There was a car already then and it was actually blocking my way so I moved in front lol. He even said I don't listen to instructions (luckily the car in front was moving out so phew).

No emergency brake, thankfully. No chance to show of my engine braking (learned it with the constant nagging). Engine stalled. Didn't signal when I thought I should have. However, the paper was so plain (only striking kerb) and I got a shock when he said I passed (i thought it was gone case all the way along the road, esp after engine stalled). After I got down the car, some guy was smiling at me no idea asking/telling me "pass". Yeah that's why I missed the video and wasted an hour doing nothing lol.

Wow, I haven't blogged for an entire month in July.

30th June;
Had been craving for Gelaré so headed down with Moon and caught Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Fascinating. Now, it reminds me of Batman: The Dark Knight. Heroic. I'm gonna watch it again. Bought the tickets the day before. Use NETS, and it's only $6/8 per ticket.

5th July;
Dramatic day. Again, I was just in time for my grading. Other than panickingly searching for my grading card, all went well till I twisted my knee and lost balance. Continued with the grading (sparring) and I sincerely hoped I wasn't worsening the condition. The medics in charged were spouting nonsense, about the worse, WORST senario. However I couldn't stop laughing. It was kind of a memorable experience, you know. Who gets to send off in ambulance, laughing?

What's more, after 5mins up the van-converted-ambulance, the engine couldn't get started. So they called 995. Wow, what a chance to be sent to TTSH in an ambulance, for free, somewhat laughing. I think I am the happiest patient to be sent to hospital, really.

All was a hoax. A lot of crap, the usual. Wasted my $85 and I was too stunned to react to the X-ray. It was ligament issue I have no idea why X-ray had to be taken. Claiming STILL in process.

Had dinner with AiZhen at Waraku @ Velocity while the rest went to ZhengFa Steamboat to celebrate FangBei's birthday. It was great experience as I ordered this duo-meal with a pizza and spaghetti. Had thought the noodles would be too little but turned out sufficient, while the pizza is a bit off standard. Then again, it was my first time trying Japanese pizza. Perhaps it was meant to taste that way. Not to my liking, definitely.

10th July;
Met up with AiZhen, GuiWen, XiTing, LokTo, Nick, Nigel, Naz, Hafiq, Darryl, Daniel to watch Ice Age 3 at Tampines Mall. My first movie. Not bad, quite interesting, better than had expected. TeaDot is nice, not a good place to spend your money at, though. Their hot chocolate tasted normal. However I could consider trying out some of their cakes. Same as for those at Say Cheeze.

12th July;
Travelled most distance since a long time, by foot. Terrible experience I'd say. With the tinkles of sweat and limping leg, where's the joy man. Other than the accompany. Great dinner at Fisherman & Wharfs opposite The Central. The Snow White was good, though the usual dory wasn't that bad either.

In a failed attempt to find Ya Hua Ba Kut Teh, we went to Rocher Bean Curd off Selegie Road instead. Two hours walk in total oh my God. The bean curd was already cold when I had the appetite, so guess I have to go back and try again. Also, at Tao's and Giraffe nearby.

17th July;
Date of submission for AA project was postponed to Monday. Nonetheless, we still wanted to get it over and done with. YongWen came to find Shiyu after his CRA presentation (most likely it was) and they suggested Mahjong at Shiyu's. Conveniently I was sitting beside her and I agreed with no considerations lol. Been such a long, long time since I last played!

Bought dinner, ate and started. Good experience, even won some money. Took cab home. Conveniently this taxi just dropped someone and we didn't even have to walk to main road. Turns out the uncle learns Qi Kung and he taught Allan and I to breathe in, breathe out, breathe in and breathe out through the mouth. Repeat for 200 times every morning at a park or something and you'll feel a difference. No park! Without a long flight of stairs, so I don't really do that. Money won all spent on cab fare but nevertheless, it was wonderful.

18th July;
Had Sakae sushi platter with AiZhen, GuiWen, XiTing, Janice at East Coast Park. The unagis were so tasteful, I wonder if they have them in the menu, not just for platters. The cheese sushi tasted oddly delicious too. Guess it would be good to try their lunch/dinner buffet someday!

23rd July;
Had lunch at Swensons (YUCK) with Stanley and Moon. Please provide more details when I had no menu in hand next time! Food suck. Great company. What more can I say lol. Splitted after lunch though.

Dinner was at Suki Yaki, which people said it sucked. The pudding was one of the kind you could conveniently get off shell in NTUC. The unagi in my handroll was pathetic. I liked the unagi and tamago the first time I bought takeaway though. I still crave for the unagi sushi in the Sakae Platter.

Watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with Adeline at Cineleisure. The most exciting scene wasn't in. What a crappy movie. You know, when before Dumbledore and Harry got back from wherever, the Deatheaters were SUPPOSED to be already have invaded Hogwarts and Ron, Hermoine and gang were SUPPOSED to be fighting them off. If not for the liquid luck or whatever they call it, they wouldn't have been able to stall to long. TOTALLY MISSED OUT. Boring. Boring. Boring.

Okay, back to happy stuffs, I passed driving. I wanna drive a car. Hopefully able to psycho weiguang and let me drive for a while but without the probation plates?! Time to sleep!

psycho-ed in success. of course, he has good faith in me. :) unlike that sicheong who “一朝被蛇咬,十年怕井蛇……” didn't get to see yuan dance live! at least there's video as backup.

Lost? Fret not.

I've been contemplating to skip school today. The decision was made when Chia Hui wanted to skip Apel haha.

Watched Land of the Lost. Pretty lame show but watching with a lame person pretty much made it a good one. A very light-hearted show, good to watch to lighten your mood. Oh, don't forget to stay for the credits. Everyone left before the end of the interesting animations and missed the last part.

It was a good rain. Walking in the rain is really sweet. Provided it's with the right person. Walking under the umbrella is sweeter haha.

:)

Hardy Rocky Café

Let me start off with my Korea Ginseng Chicken BBQ Buffet on Wednesday at Crystal Jade Korean Restaurant, Centrepoint. The receipt is longer than my 14.1" laptop!

Seafood pancake; Beef; Mutton; Chicken Fillet; Bacon; Pork; Fish Fillet; Cuttle Fish; Chicken Wing; Sausage; Grilled Mackerel; Dumpling Soup - Beef; Seaweed Soup (Beef); Beef Soup; Fried Rice with Seafood; Coconut Sage; Chilled Coconut Cake.

There's still some Kim Chi variety and spicy meat and mussels and red bean cream, which I didn't try. So anyway, anyone would see that I pretty much enjoyed eating because the quantity was not x1 but x2,3,4 and maybe more. I think I ate the most at my table, though I don't think they would agree lol.

Then Friday, is the day I finally mended my jeans. I'm having regrets about going Lucky Plaza now. So what if Levis recommended it? This is a place where everyone cheats everyone. I mean, it's a tourist attraction for goodness sake. Should have let Chia Hui's mum see it and let the pro do it.

Dhatch and I walked quite a bit to hunt for Hard Rock Café. Just the name itself has enough attraction isn't it. I'll just say, Hard Rock is not called Hard for nothing. In every single drink, and I mean EVERY, it contains hard liquor. I couldn't even tell what kind of liquor is that except the Baileys Irish Cream whatever coffee. The one I ordered was Café XXXX with Grand MXXXX and Tia Maria. I didn't think much and just chose that. Turns out, the coffee made me more sleepy instead of the intended effect. The liquor was so strong that I ordered some snacks to go along. However, second mistake. What did I do? I went to order Bruschetta with loads of tomatoes and just olive oil and permesan cheese to go along on the garlic bread. Tasted a bit like vomit, I managed to gorge myself on that. The service was fantastic though. Had to ask 3 times for a menu. Never wanna go again haha.

Buffets are so wonderful, though the after effect usually isn't. I have a good news to share! HOKKAIDO FAIR is coming soon from the 3rd to 12th. I'll probably go on the 8th since the ramen I want is only available from then.

A List of Must-Haves:
Gyokai Shoyu Ramen (Fish Soup Base Soy Sauce) $12
Mori No Ikameshi (Seasoned Squid with Glutinous Rice) $6.80
Butter Manju (Custard) $12

Maybes:
Grilled Scallop $5.50
Hakodate Chocolate $17
Dango Stick $2.30
Hi-Cocoa Strawberry Chocolate $5.30
Gelato $4.50-$6.50
Full Moon $19.80
Fruits Omelette $5
Scrambled Cheese Cake $16.50

I already bought a can of Sapporo classic canned beer at Orchard. As for the squid and cuttlefish we always get, it's 3 for $25. Haha need to be thrifty for the week for my japanese food stuffs. I spent over 30 at Hard Rock can you believe it. Well, consider buying an experience. I think their choice of music sucks though - they played Michael Jackson ALL DAY LONG.

a day with dad,

Not that nothing happy happened...

I had dinner at Shokudo at The Heeren with some of the guys the other weekend. Swimming was enjoyable, at any time; so is running, cycling and playing basketball. Of course, it would include my training.

Other than that, I did meet up with Yu Ting. She's doing fine, but only keeping in touch with her TJC friends. She would be flying to England, University College, London, to study arts in September. Nothing interests her as much as arts. James would be studying overseas too, also flying off in September. 2 more months to go, we should probably meet up again before the 4 years of distance.

On the 16th June, we celebrated Florence's birthday with the Jeremys, Chia Hui and Dhatch at Teo Heng. I think the cake could be better though. Any one from Angie The Choice or Awfully Chocolate. Money constraint, oh well. At least it was fun.

So it was Father's Day yesterday. I had thought it to be last week, since I had the impression it was last week. Last week was National Poomsae. All I could say is I did well since I made no mistakes other than the parts which I couldn't correct. Silver, again. It was a close call this time round, being 0.1 and 0.2 ahead of the other 3 participants. While the gold medalist? 1.0 point leading. I wonder how she did it.

Awaiting the award ceremony, AiZhen & I went to Suntec Convention Centre to find the guys. It was supposed to be this way, apparently it did not happen. Took the card, bought the Zen, ate our lunch at 5pm, McDonald's delivery to Pacific City and returned the card. And I only took 16min to and fro Creative store -.- At least it was funny to think about it haha. Plain childishness though........ Bad influence.

Back to Father's Day. Dad took me to ParkRoyal Hotel which he said was Plaza Hotel sometime somehow. Whichever the case, we had our buffet dinner at Plaza Brasserie, upon his friend's invitation.

can't let go

hahaha i'm a bit of emotionally unstable, such that i have no idea over what?!

not a good day to start off, the usual. the first time i cab to school for a tutorial, one which moved forward by an hour to be exact. 4 bucks gone just like that. the other night, 6 bucks, from bedok reservoir. alright, then lessons! sicheong. haha most entertaining lessons i ever had.

then chia hui and i took a different route to iras, my route, through mrt. reached, ate lunch at subway, then off to iras. just looking through the gallery, wasting time, feeling cold airs all over me. tried to find shiying on level 4, but couldn't get up. walked around the shops at velocity@novena. all of them are having the great singapore sale. then splitted with her to meet rowena at city hall.

we went to dorothy perkins, and the kind stephanie helped me find out which outlet has the green hoody i set my eyes on last saturday. the salesperson at ps gave me bullshit like it's sales item we can't reserve for you, can't help you check the stock at other outlet. she said nothing when i said i'll come back later. most importantly sad to say, i can't stand people who can't articulate english to be understandable.

so stephanie called me while we walked around marina square. okay, creative zen 2GB $119, 4GB $149, 8GB $189, 16GB $249. i'm still considering if i should get and if i do, which. even though i lost my wallet, i lost 200 bucks in terms of cash and remaking the cards. oh crap, if not i would be getting that 8gb one, and would have saved 80 bucks on my external hard drive with that casing so fragile.

after dinner, i went to wisma. tried it, checked it, bought it. usual price was $46 ya. the sales price was $26.40. i bought it for $19. with the size right. the ones at ps were size 14, the one i bought is size 10. so ya hahaha. yes i'm over the moon it's green! don't worry, you'll see me in it soon enough. (:

i was dying from laughing to choking on watermelon. when my mum told me my dad got a summon for not parking at the car park. i had to email the town council to appeal some more. inside joke.

i was doing research during the roadshow after i heard about MX500 being faced out. then i realize, my creative EP 570 is nothing compared to sennheiser MX500. one being 20-20,000hz, the other, 18 to 22,000 hz. quite a big difference if you compare the price. $35 for creative, $32 for sennheiser. a bit of being cheated but i like the design and it's clip on. that's all it matters.

that's all it matters.

may fate bring us together

The roadshow is over! I have no idea why they had this roadshow for 7 days straight but am glad to have worked over the weekends for extra cash, fun and laughter with friends.

Marina Square is freezing cold each time I step in there while Plaza Singapura is just, normal. MS ought to reflect on the impact they're dealing on our Earth. For the two days, there was only rowena, yong hao and I. With janice in charge on Sennheiser and the part time sales executive gao sheng. I keep thinking of his name as yongsheng.

Sales is no sales for me, so skip. Lunch at KFC, buddy meal, dinner at McDonald's EVM. Today's lunch was Carl's Jr., dinner was free from Chippy's with compliment to gao sheng. Before I want to pay him, he left to buy. After he took his packet, he left immediately. He's 25, studying Econs and Accounting in SMU, one and a half year to go. Previously from NP, biomedical engineering.

Throughout the whole thing, we had lots of fun talking to Nick D., the the-speedpaint-tard guy. Awed by his speed painting using the newest Wacom tablet which cost $599. Joking among ourselves, with gao sheng. I actually chatted quite a lot with him, nice guy. Legs aching but, not important. I'm thinking of what to have for breakfast later on and, look forward to seeing him during the upcoming PC show.

May fate bring us together again. That was somewhat what I told the St. Joseph Instituition 16-year-old Philippine kid.

smile.

Almost forgot what it's like to be happy.

Coz everything was not going right. Such as the long queue for the making of concession cards at Pasir Ris Interchange and that, Bedok's Raffles Medical Group actually was out of stock. Without ez-link card, I figured it is really a hassle. Then I realized, if I have called earlier, (1/30*$50) $1.66 refund every day, but I wasted... 4 days. Turns out, I still can get the refund of my bus concession woot. Not so bad huh. The irritating part is that, no matter what I still have to re-make it even though there are people coming to school to replace the cards. What a hassle.

Decided to get the injection at the Raffles Hospital instead. Then found them at Parco Bugis arcade. Played the usual, and then Nigel wanted to race. I sat beside him, realized that someone only inserted one token. So I took the advantage and played alongside him. I ALMOST WON. Nvm, next time sure win.

The 6 of us, jieyi yonghao junwei lokto nigel and I, went to have minced meat noodles and etc. Chatted over dinner and went back to walk around a little. Really entertaining just being with them. Though there were some silent moments, but love the accompaniment. Common interest brought us together, and they are nice people. Such friendly people. We have a date on Saturday night for supper! (Okay, basically if you get to know people before they start to form cliques, things are much simpler.)

Saw mary and yx. Organize outing with jordan, soon. Till I get over the sadness over loss.

Things may have turned out bad, but it's all in the mind isn't it. Be strong. We'll overcome these obstacles together. I love you. Is it so hard to tell you in the face? I know, you know. So wipe the tears and move on! Stay strong. :)

<3

you must know i think it's quite stupid to type '<3' but this heart sign really, really, explains so much. for me, at least.

we've had this gift voucher, lunch buffet for 2 for a long while now. on it stated valid for 06 months which would be till may '09, that is if we hadn't used it for just now. Swissotel Merchant Court. Ellenborough Market Cafe. 12pm to 2.30pm. Lunch Buffet for 2.

i called up for reservation on tuesday, to confirm on going on thursday. we took bus to serangoon before changing to train to Clarke Quay. i had it all planned out~ it was a sweet lunch buffet for 2.

basically the food, is nothing compared to Kuishin-bo. i wonder if it's really the food or the company and laughter, but well, there's not much variety to start from.

rice, roasted duck, pork belly w/ preserved vegetable, some fish, brocolli, prawns w/ abalone sauce
sashimi, sea bass, some sushi, dumpling noodles, hokkien mee
salad etc, few kinds of pastes & soup, some cakes, mango pudding, chocolate fondue, watermelon & papaya
nyonya food etc, corn soup, half scallop, oyster?

original price $29/adult on weekdays. food not to my liking haha. lucky it's free.

but the companionship was priceless.
<3

oh not to forget, timetable is out and and and. sicheong, we meet again. i know fate will bring us together hahaha. not one, but TWO tutorials. we're gonna enjoy our classes together yea. i'm actually looking forward to school.

day spent at Bugis. :)

Li Ling asked me few days ago, if I want to go Bugis with Xinyu 大姐 and I agreed immediately after confirmation of Eng Liang's farewell buffet. They were running late, so postponed the meeting time, but I was even later than late. I think it's been a year we've met, the last time at Tampines Mall Ajisen, for dinner. We walked around Bugis Street and Li Ling bought a pair of footwear. Then we proceeded to Muji where she bought really lot of snacks, expiring snacks, that's why it was on discount. I tried the Mango Pudding pack and it was quite sour but definitely of good quality.

We made our way to N.Y.D.C. and sat down with Elmo (after the two friends at our next next table left). Evidence?

I hugged it so tightly coz I was quite cold actually. They each ordered a main course, Three Amigos (with red sauce) and Romeo and Juliet (white sauce) while I chose to have dessert (Cookie Monster Mudpie) instead as it was only 4.30pm and I wasn't hungry. My dessert was $10.95, a dollar cheaper than their main dish I wonder why. I've got no idea why Oreo cookies are widely overly used too.

They left shortly after a visit to Kinokuniya. Now I know where to get cars/motorcycles magazines but they're all in Japanese. While waiting for Jerome, I walked around and found a really cute penguin shirt. Since recent years, I bought whatever I wanted, regardless of the price as long as I have the money to make the purchase. So, I bought the $39.00 T-Shirt and a $59.90 sweatshirt with a hood. $98.90 in total, I'd really think I was out of my mind but come to think of it, I'll just treat this as a reward to my $500+ cheque which would be coming my way soon! It's not that bad, come to think of it........

Jerome has made me realized that all the problems I was having, is due to low blood pressure.
Frequent blur visions, faster heartbeat rate, easily breathless, frequent yawning because lack of oxygen, occasion chest tightening, etc.
Probably because of my nocturnal lifestyle, I'm suffering more of it now. Sleep early, have meals reguarly, so I would regain my usual appetite. He'll make a good combat medic.

First I played the pointless basketball at the arcade, then we began Left 4 Dead. It's the first time completing No Mercy, completing all the maps. I've never enjoyed playing L4D so much coz it doesn't lag! My graphics really cannot make it. I love my laptop nonetheless.

After which, we had a game of DotA among ourselves. He guided me along the way, and the AI weren't very outstanding so we could have won if 2 hours weren't finished so fast. We had a good game of L4D with Marcy and cranky though and it lasted for 1hour and 1min as stated. Then, we played basketball together this time with a score of 328 + 44% accuracy. Not bad I'd say, for he doesn't like such game and I'm not too used to the machines over there.

It was an enjoyable day, beats staying home and cyber stalking anyway.

backtrack

"anyway, FOI was one of the worse papers i've even taken. and i complained to my mum about my first 'D' 'cause she was saying, can at least get D for this FOI not. WHAT?! i aimed for B. but apparently, it's out of reach. i can't possibly get A for that paper to even out my grade haha."

BAF2006Fundamentals of Investment4D

uh, I got a D in the end. oh well. at least I didn't disappoint my mum? lol.

TKD Chalet

Eden, Zhu'En and I went to SMU to fetch Mingyue from her interview. I had the sudden craving for Double Chocolate donut so I messaged Eden and he said OK. When I arrived, they were each carrying a box of donuts of 6. Then, we made our way to Lim Kong Chian School of Business and waited there.

It seemed that she couldn't outshine the other polytechnic students, but hope is all around. :)
I suggested Din Tai Fung and it was of course rejected, again yet again. Such nice chinese delicacy but nobody wants to appreciate it. We went down to B1 for Burger King instead since everywhere was overflooded.

Eden suddenly talked about how helium makes your voice change, and spontaneously we went up in search of balloons and bought one each. $1 for the balloon with prints and $1 for the helium. We had our balloons all the way from Raffles City to Bedok skating park there. It was so fun as if reliving my childhood playing with balloons! This experience was however different. It started off with Eden, Zhu'En, Me then Mingyue. A lot of crap in the video but it was really darn funny. We should post on YouTube or something haha. None of us tried that before and we never heard of it before.

We went to Bedok for the convenience of me, coz I was planning to go down to DownTown East on the last bus. However the moment I reached home, I had the sudden urge for L4D. I set the difficulty to Easy though coz I only wanted to complete the game. Only managed to finish 3 maps before it was 12 midnight. After bathing, packing, I rushed down for the last bus or second last bus. It was kinda boring when I reached though.

Official 2nd year in TP, almost 2 years in TKD. First time going to the annual chalet, which is to celebrate for IVP or something. Last year because of the sprain in my left ankle coz I fell from my bike, I couldn't be bothered to go for pattern since I was so out of the team and I was really bored of pattern. After waiting for 2 years, I finally got my sports jacket and with luck on my side, a silver medal. Getting a default bronze was nothing to be proud of so I'm really glad I managed to get the silver. Contented.

Everyone was lying on the bed, watching Forbidden Siren which was ending when I reached. Totally had no idea and nothing to do. Totally no mood for chalet actually. I only went because of a friend, if not I'd probably just appear for the bbq or not at all. Because at the start I don't mix around. When I'm more comfortable with mixing, they already had cliques somewhat. And I don't like to join their clique just like that. It was just me or with the accompaniment of wengsing and yulun.

They went to McDonalds to get food for nick and lok to. Then went to Cheers to get instant noodles and went back to eat. I got myself the Sara Lee Chocolate Pound Cake without a knife, but managed to eat it somehow. Sat outside with Rowena and Yong Hao for quite some time before we decided to get some sea breeze. Can't sleep too late nowadays, so they went back with me at 4 plus. The people were playing cards and I just lied down somewhere and slept.

There was nothing to do until afternoon, where more people came. I went out to eat. The chicken rice at the food court was nice. It was so nice to be alone. So carefree and nothing to worry about. I had a game of basketball and went to the Popular fair. Bought 2 books which I find to be interesting and it was only $6. Have no idea why I'm pretty into books nowadays. Have 7 books/magazine to be read, out of which 3 are from library. Better hurry up. Got myself a durian pancake and a cup of Soyabean milk from Mr Bean.

BBQ was slow and boring with the people I don't really talk to. Went to arcade with Nigel, Shining and Jian Yong instead. Was planning to join Gwen and TK but we opened another table instead. Jian Yong's not bad. Went back at 8 plus, quite limited food. Ate whatever I could and then went to EHub for pool again. This time there were 3 tables, total more than 20 people. Had to wait for some time before it's my turn against Daniel. He had won 4-5 rounds already, and one round was because his opponent's white ball followed in. Then when it was my turn, was quite nervous because it was finally my turn and there were most people speculating this table. I played fairly well but in the end, the white ball followed in and his streak continues haha.

After that played with Jian Yong for 2 rounds, and I won coz he's too unlucky and I'm too lucky. His white ball followed in for the first round, my white ball stopped right before the pocket for the second. Before the place closed I played one round with Agustian and I won but only because he kept missing. Coz we were the only ones left in the entire place, more stress I guess haha.

I've got no idea how long I've last seen Jerome but he was my first friend in TKD. Well, coz he's the first who talked to me. Laughed a lot that night. Then he spent the whole night explaining to me the 1000 reasons females should not join the army haha. If the minimum sign on contract is 5 years, no thanks. Actually I'm not very sure how long I'd go for. Hopefully there's some 1-3 days experiencing the army life.

Had McDonald's McGriddles meal for breakfast and went home on bus 17 with Jerome. That pretty ends the chalet. The only fun part is, jieyi singing with agustian and yonghao, jerome's entertainment, POOL, basketball. A bit of daidee and mahjong, and the chinaman whatever game, I hit till my hand hurts. I guess it's more fun than staying home though.

Kuishinbo.

Once again, presenting.... KUISHINBO.

Finally swam, after more than 3 years. Still learning, but progressing. Swimming is the best exercise as it trains multiple parts of muscles and is a sweat-less sport. Just the water pressure.

Finally went to yx's house. Played D&D and then gave up halfway for Pokemon Monopoly. Basically my luck was 0 from the start, but the process was really hilarious with the guys around. The way they kept finding loopholes in the game, it was just priceless. I can never emo when I'm with them haha.

Finally went to Kuishinbo, even though it's the second time. Ate a lot as I was really hungry. Didn't think we ate enough for the amount we're paying though. Had a lot of laughs there too, of course. Bill was $422.54 for tables of 10.

Wanted to type a lot of details to try to maintain a certain level of my language. Then again, no more communication skills so forget it.

I want to play WoW.

Underworld

Actually training is pretty interesting. i should go more often whenever possible. Dhatch came over in the afternoon and we watched Underworld: Rise of The Lycans. We were supposed to be watching last week but she was confined. We started from Underworld: Evolution first as she only saw the synopsis of it so we had a clearer idea of the entire Underworld series. In my opinion the show is not as bad as it may have seemed to many others. Being a prequel, it explained why Viktor kept Serene because of the strong resemblance of his dear daughter Sonja. Anyway, to die under the sword of his 'daughter', I'm pretty sure he has no regrets.

I didn't really planned to go for training, even though I had nothing better to do. I took my own sweet time in central looking around and getting my rockmelon. If I think I am rich, I'm definitely getting the S$86 rockmelon off the next Hokkaido Fair. Hopefully I will, be rich. So I reached home, saw Agustian's message and Rowena's missed call. I had a momentarily mind block and thought I wouldn't see him so soon and his grading is coming. Therefore I had to go to school and pass him my green belt, conveniently return the books which were renewed over and over again. It's good to cycle once in a while so I did.

It cost over 1k over 10 years ago.

I was quite breathless upon reaching the sports hall. Probably because I haven't been cycling much, I'm not too used to the max gear. I love the trainings given nowadays. It always involve training of hand muscles and I really want to improve on mine. However for stamina problem, I'll have to really go beyond my limits. I don't remember the pattern still. I'll need to go more often.

My flu is recovering I suppose. But Nigel they all were playing with deodorant spray and I don't want to risk it so I left immediately after. Not a fan of deodorant and it irritates my nose. Halfway making my way out, I remembered the books I brought to return. Lazy to lock, I left my bike at the security guard house and ran up the stairs. I don't want my bike to be stolen. Moh Sing left minutes before I did. Then when I made my way to the library we saw each other. We stared at each other for a while I think coz it was pretty dark and unclear. Then we waved goodbyes and I ran to return and to my bike. I was so hungry even though I had a filling dinner before going to school. Anyway, I think he must be thinking I'm such a weird person or something haha.

joy of it show.

Last Wednesday was a unhappy day, generally. Results made me moody and then I realized there was something called MODERATION. I guess that was why, and I was moody. Lunch with Cherie was pleasant though. The Yong Tau Foo was nice and so was the bubble tea at KOI cafe which contained honey instead of syrup.

Thursday to Sunday was the annual IT Show 2009. HAHAHA it made me laugh a lot la okay. This show was a success I can say coz I really sold a lot and it was an unprecedented lot. I guess that's the reason the next COMEX/SITEX would most probably be at Suntec too, coz of this huge success. I wonder what is recession to the consumers lol.

Basically I had too much fun laughing at different things. Other than laughing, I was just waiting. Of course the wait was in vain but I think I am more glad it was in vain than if it wasn't coz of what the guys were doing. The guys would know what I'm talking about.

All I can say is nothing really goes as planned so no more pre-schedules. Peace all and have a nice day hahaha.

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

what really happened.

Basically things never go as planned la.

Sunday, breakfast/lunch at SuperDog with Eden and Zhu'En before Mingyue arrives. Watched He's Just Not Into You at Downtown East Cathay. The movie was good overall, sort of hit me at some point of time. I guess I learned something from it, probably. Walked to Zhu'En's house and played Bridge instead of Mahjong. Then Eden bought a bouquet soon after we splitted.

Monday, swimming cancelled - bad weather. Celebratationg of Jordan's birthday cancelled - birthday boy not free. So I met cuiwen. :) Eat, talk, walk. Then I cycled around the school compound after returning Unbreakable which was really marvellous. Feeling bored, I cycled to moon's and saw yuan. Incidently, he returned me 8 bucks for that Slumdog Millionaire. Found out more about girls serving NS and I think forget it lol. So I finally have the 7th Harry Potter book. Probably a year to finish reading.

Tuesday, dimsum buffet! 9 of us - wc jon bryan yx cs hs wj mary me. First to reach the Orient sth Restaurant at 3rd floor of Hotel Miramar. Food tasted familiar like what Florence and I tried at Peninsula Hotel. Good overall, but I think I ate too much. Went to Chinatown and walked around. Then to bugis which I left them for AiZhen. Which we dined at Ramen Ten and went to school. After which moon came to return me my sunglasses and that's it.

Sunday, March 8, 2009

my schedule II

I'm really worried i would leave out anything man. I think I've really been busy, people had been busy. Such that I'm meeting different people everyday haha. Or almost.

Sunday, supposedly a rest day but I guess watching "He's Just Not That Into You" at E!Hub is not such a bad idea. I'll get to play basketball (again) at the arcade too. To celebrate our moon's ALMOST straight As (GP is B and Chinese C!!!) and to mend zE's broken heart haha.

Monday, I'll finally be inviting Dhatch to my place, which is messy everywhere. We'll watch Underworld III after I explained to her the detailed details of that of II. Trust me it would be very much detailed. For fastidious means being detailed. Then, as friends we'll be celebrating Jordan's birthday at probably city area. I think we could dine at Pepper Lunch probably somewhere near Clarke Quay, if I had enough time to go for the waitress interview.

Tuesday, I'm not sure if the swimming thing is still on but no matter what, I have to meet AiZhen for dinner at Ramen Ten early, most likely 5pm or so. Then finally going to meet cuiwen for dinner. We'll have so much to talk about, for she had been busy working since after As! My best friend since sec 1. Since we joined Air Rifle Club till it became Temasek Shooting Club till forever. Best friends never change.

Wednesday, I've promised Cherie to have lunch together but don't think cuiwen can make it. Either at Clarke Quay/Chinatown/City Hall area. I'm at a dilemma on what to do. Perhaps after IT Show then the 3 of us meet up for lunch? Or shall I just lunch with her. I'm afraid of the awkward silence haha. Okay, maybe she's excluded from that.

Anyway, I thought of this person, and I dreamt of him the other night. The last time we had a proper chat was before New Year. The last time I called, was just a short conversation. He is usually the one who calls me up even at 4 in the morning with only one motive - to ask for my opinions and suggest what he should do. He was always demanding, but sensing the vexed tone, I always try to concentrate on him and tell him whatever I feel about the situation he was in. It has been a long time since we went out or chatted, not for the purpose of him attaining his ultimate goal.

It seems that he is an ingrate. But he used to thank me for the good advices I gave, and often say I am his best female friend. Now that things are going smoothly, he doesn't need me anymore. To think I used to feel guilty that he was always the one calling me up, even though all he asked was for his own motives. Anyway, what's the use of saying this. If he suddenly calls me up out of the blue, I would probably talk to him patiently and nicely to help him settle his issues. That's why sometimes I think I'm too nice. Or naive. The feeling would be different of course. His demanding tone, his perception and stand. It's hard to relate to him already, now that we've drifted. I mean, he doesn't update me or anything or show any concern whatsoever. I think I lost a friend.

Speaking of awkward silences, all I need is a chance, to get to know you better. Why won't you give me a chance? Or, would you?

Saturday, March 7, 2009

my schedule

I passed FTT even without reading the whole book. Quite contented with myself. Shows that I have enough common sense haha.

Going to Toa Payoh for some Aviva Ironman briefing. It looks interesting, wish I could participate instead of assisting. It would be at Big Splash on the 22nd March, overnight.
After which, I'll be supporting Flashback at Plaza Singapura. My wen ge haha. Then finally gonna watch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Supposed to be watching with Raymond Wu Jiahan but he's so busy with projects sigh. Nvm, I'll wait for him to date me instead.

Nothing's on on Sunday. Finally a rest day.

Monday I shall go for an interview or rather, just a briefing if the Chinese restaurant at Clifford Pier is still hiring.

Tuesday I'll probably go swimming with the guys then have dinner at Ramen Ten and the 50% voucher I've gotten from watching Outlander on Wednesday with the guys is supposed to erase off the $2.50 debt for the chicken rice at NTU. The food was nice; the movie wasn't. Some unrealistic, lord of the rings like movie. Totally pointless and waste of money but we had fun watching together.

Wednesday hopefully I'll be able to invite Dhatchayani over for Underworld II & III. I'll have to explain what II is about first, then watch III together.

Adeline Mok Cui Wen is still working. I think we should meet for lunch with Cherie on Monday and then I'll go for the interview. After which, dinner with her. Yeah, that's the way.

Thursday to Sunday would be somewhat fun at the IT Show. This time it's only gab wuss bryan his bro keith hs weijie zach dz and maybe gab's bro eugene. Hopefully I can find the techniques good enough to sell off some macs. Needa do research on Wednesday night. Lest Ronnie really hold my pay lol.

Why am I so busy, I don't get it. I'm supposed to be busy WORKING. Tight on cash now. I even have to postpone my practical for 2 weeks. Wish me luck on getting the job. I'm finally gonna be a waitress.

There's still paintball and dim sum buffet. I wonder when. We should donate blood soon, too. Before I get sick. I'm suddenly reminded of Bukit Batok CDANS laserquest. What memories.

***

things always don't go as planned. so actually saturday, jieyi aizhen and i bought tickets to Marley & Me instead. surprisingly, fifth week airing but Benjamin Button is overwhelming popular still, such that it was full house -1 seat. as promised, i supported wen for her flash back dance performance. it's okay - you either win or lose but you gain experience either way. basically the 3 of us spent the other half of the night choosing cosmetics for our dear aizhen.

Aviva Ironman looks entirely intriguing. 22nd March 2009, 11pm (21st) at the Big Splash!. The event is huge with 1200 participants, and probably less than a hundred volunteers. Good to know there's a $30 allowance though haha. I'm glad to be of help too. 2 rounds of 950m in the waters, 3 loops of 7km at east coast park, to and fro Keppel Way or further down totalling to 19.1km. Aviva 70.3km Trialthlon. If I ever had the stamina, you bet I would join in the fun too.

post effect

Nevertheless, I had dinner with the guys at Marina Square Carl's Jr, to discover there's a new outlet at Tampines One. I was still limping hah.

Tuesday was the best part. I accompanied Stanley and gang to Sentosa for Volleyball and Frisbee and watched them display their 'brotherly love'. We spent 4 hours shopping for aloysius's havanians and a shirt lol that was so long! He was pushed to the sea and didn't bring any shirts.

I've really been walking a lot these days, more than when I was OK. Yesterday was at Kbox at E!Hub with Grace zE mengyee they all. The bus stop is too far away.

Movie with the guys later. Hope they enjoyed swimming now that it didn't rain.

FTT tomorrow. Probably watching Benjamin Button too. Or going for the interview at Clifford Pier at last.

Next week, Dhatch is coming over! I'm meeting Cherie for lunch and, working with some of the guys at the IT fair. Gotta meet up with cuiwen!!

IVP 09 - Silver

It was default bronze. The first round, I didn't really know how I won. Perhaps it's really the tough trainings that prepared me for this day to come. It was really tiring, that I couldn't breathe for over minutes after a short 4.5min match. My right leg was already limping, now even worse, 'cause we kept clashing. Without much stamina to begin with, I ended blocking all the way for the last erm 30seconds or so. It was so intense that I only found out my hand guard was totally out of place after the entire thing. So the end results, bruises. And I suspect it's a sprain 'cause I can't straighten without feeling sharp pain.

So now it's default silver. I tried to ice my entire leg, but to not much avail, really. So I went up with more injuries, and this time I really felt that, I could win. My only mistake is not being able to react faster and kick the unguarded area. I forgot what Alan Sir said too. After each right kick, I feel an intense pain, not being able to kick hard. So the end results? I lost. Without injuries, I would do better, no doubt. It's really a wasted one. Next year would be better. I shall see who have longer legs and as light as me. The target would none other be the head.

Everybody did well, especially peiyong. She was very sad about the close score of 5-4. She won Best Female Player, for putting up an excellent fight. Quite a number of gold, silver and some bronze. Guess there'll be an annual chalet again. Well done TP.

I am so glad I came to TP. Not only because it is near to my place, it has my favourite Taekwondo. It started out as an interest. Because of the environment, the phases/pace, the trainings, the instructors, I became who I am. So it has now become my passion. I doubt anyone else would feel the same for other CCAs. Taekwondo is not about having fun or coming together because of the similar interests, it's about determination, commitment and teamwork.

I think it was the stress Kelvin gave, that motivated me to win. Really, thanks Kelvin. So I realise I work well with stress.
Love the TP TKD spirit.

unprecedented.

i don't know why i go around telling everyone. but i hope it won't turn out to be any disappointment. why is it that, when no feelings are involved, things are much simpler?

anyway, FOI was one of the worse papers i've even taken. and i complained to my mum about my first 'D' 'cause she was saying, can at least get D for this FOI not. WHAT?! i aimed for B. but apparently, it's out of reach. i can't possibly get A for that paper to even out my grade haha.

coz of the sickening FOI (though seetmeng says it's important), i strayed off to TM by wasting every seconds away. bought a pale blue casual/formal shirt from cotton-on named Will and it looks like it's for males. but who cares? it was love at first sight haha.

actually i tried asking several people to watch a movie. however none could make it/want it. jiaxin asked me out to lunch instead at Manhattan Fish Market! of coz i couldn't reject. even though no Changeling. :)

manhattan fish & chips. garden herbs fish. manhattan hot mocha. fried calamari. mud pie!
these are what i would love to try and we did. talked too much, couldn't finish my f&c for the unprecedented first time! mud pie was nice. but didn't try the dessert at B1.

digested our food from plaza sing all the way to orchard. a bit stupid if you consider the higher fare we would be paying. anyhow walked, ended up at paragon. it was my first time going there, knowing it's paragon. so many branded stuffs but some of it are actually quite affordable, to a certain extent. basically we had fun window shopping, and getting excited over Robo Bob.

takashimaya's coffee club was like a market. it was so noisy, even worse than coffee shop. the coffee or rather, chocolate & strawberry drink i ordered wasn't exactly what i expected. so it was like throwing money to the sea? haha should have drank coffee, then i wouldn't be stoning and ready to fall asleep anytime.

being tired makes me high instead. was laughing so badly at 鸟节 & donkey. till i cried. i think the whole carriage could hear my laughters. sony ericsson's C905 with 8.1mgp was fun to play with by the way. so equipped for a phone, which happens to be more of a camera than a phone. though the blue note was returned, a treat is to be given! in exchange for being treated. it's like some bonds tying us up, in a sense.

my hair is dry. my laptop is not back. i wonder what assignment my sister is doing that has to be done till wee hours. hope nothing is wrong with my laptop. and i guess almost time to sleep.

Red Cliff, Underworld, Benjamin Button, Changeling.
guess either online or theatres. Hopefully theatres, with a better movie experience. Even better if it would be at Cathay or, The Cathay.

haha. just got access to the screaming blog. but i've got no time to lose! wasted over an hour or two on the spot the difference in facebook. just had my dinner and i'm tired. how to continue my remaining 6.25 of the 12 topics?

I went to school today again. The only day I didn't go was yesterday and all I did at home was right in front here. It's no wonder my muscle aches from the day before never went away. From the standing broad jump and basketball. Perhaps I should do these more so I'll be fitter. I wish to get Gold for NAPFA so I guess I need to start running.

Time to go gym! Which I never had the chance to. I think we can go to Eden's for gym and swim! It's been a decade since I last swam. Almost.

Ask me along for swimming! And if you have any job to introduce, I guess I'm on. And if you need accompaniment at last minute, I guess I can be there. :)

Last week was Friday, 13th. I just realized. Apparently it wasn't an unlucky day to me!

V-Day

Morning, went to NTU for weigh-in. Supposed to be in Bantam (I was not over weight) but ended up have to increase till passable for Feather. Wore guiwen's windbreaker with people's handphones and wallets in the pockets. While in my own, was a lot of coins and cards. The most crucial part is guiwen's belt which I think was around 500g.

All of us went TM to eat but splited into two groups. The one I was with watched Valkyrie. Supposed to watch with them but seeing the amount of money I had left, forget it. The decision was made when I could go to Eden's house instead haha. It's free and it's my first time to his house. Anyway I had fun with them at Photo Hunt in the arcade before we separated.

Eden's uncle's house is a condominium at Aquarius. Basically he was just watching anime while I was rattling away. After that went to PS with zE to find moon. Manhattan Fish Market was too ex and the queue was incredible. Told addy to go there date in the end we went to PastaMania. Saw florence with a group of young girls (her church cell group) and took the same train back.

Saw the underaged boy with phoebe and stanley came! Thought I wouldn't get to see him on V-day coz they decided not to go over to yuan's house. Delivered my rose to my GF :) and still managed to catch the last 17 bus. Am I pro or am I what. I reached home at midnight, bathe and pack and convince mum with no effort, delivered v-day gift and still early for the last bus. Overnight at zE house with eden and grace for mahjong but the progress was so slow. We were too tired actually. Went home to sleep at 7 or 8 and that's it.

Slumdog Millionaire was nice. Watched it after honghui's b'day celebration at PizzaHut on friday. Her cake was baked by Sugarloaf's Chef for $40 but frankly speaking it wasn't very nice. The chocolate cake tasted funny but the strawberries are really plentiful. Watched it with stan moon me el yuan and his botak head. It's funny how moon touched his head coz of their height difference. Movie was about how Jamal Malik, a slumdog, knows all the answers to get 10m rupiah. In the end was 20m lah and 有情人终成眷属.

All the best for IVP. I think I need to work even harder now that I'm at the losing end for my category. Unless my opponents are short and fat, which is, quite impossible. Coz muscles are 4 times heavier than fats right. The most important thing is, I'll finally get the sports jacket. Guess I won't take a break and quit now that there's more reasons to go for training haha. Till june perhaps.

Chances are self-created. I'm just wondering how can I go for Archery and Taekwondo and work part time if I'm hired by that restaurant at Clifford Pier. Community Service Club - to join this I must be sure I can wake up early on Saturdays. To do my part as part of the society. Determination k. And then I will be thinking, how I wish I understand dialect. It's like a generation gap loh.

my passion.

Training was great today. It's this kind of tired at the beginning, the more I perspire the more I enjoy, where at one point I no longer feel fatigued training that rekindles my passion. I love Taekwondo, but sometimes I dread trainings. Perhaps it's my stamina problem, I have to catch my breaths after a short while. I think I won't skip trainings as I had planned to in my remaining semesters. I still want my black belt. Well, maybe there's more than that.

Woot. I reached school at 9.05am, earlier than most of my tutorials. But it was worth it la. Finally had the chance to step in to MediaBiz. It was indeed a maze. I never knew the compound was so wide. There was a specialized studio place that looks just like a real studio. Guess the well-equipped machinery is to train the students. The whole Fight Club recording only took 1 and a half hour before we are all satisfied with the final product. It was funny working with the people. mary jon weidong keat hs and YX. The only right thing to do is of course for yx to host.

Valentine's Day is on saturday, which is honghui's birthday haha. We're going TM's Fish&Co. hopefully florenz and boy can join us too. First time meeting Dave, not nervous at all. I only wonder what's happening to ec. So V-Day I failed my part as a gf, couldn't accompany my dear :(. But I'll try to maybe surprise her somehow :). Weigh-in at NTU early in the morning. Hope I'm below 55kg still! Somehow I feel that my weighing scale is faulty. V-Day, and I get to see Eden and STANLEY and zhuen and YUAN and my MOON. How great can it be. (:

Wah I couldn't believe yue's mum asked me if I had problems with my family when she asked if I could stay when she's out to tutor. My one day's talking to my mum can exceed your one week's! Pro not. :D

Looking forward to Benjamin... Button! (: (: (: But the more I expect, the more disappointment. Well, I'm prepared anyway. So.... Let's see how this works.

just blogging.

I've wanted to catch Anacondas: Hunt of the Blood Orchid in the theatres but I changed my mind. Last week by coincident, it was showing on channel 5 and it was indeed a good film. Well, watching at home with my mum is not a bad movie experience too.

Then on Sunday, channel 5 showed Poseidon - the show I watched for 3 times already, and another time watching the 80s version. No matter how many times I watched, it's still as good as my first, or second. Definitely a great movie to watch with your loved ones, so you know you should cherish them, lest something like that happens. Well obviously I didn't really learn anything from films...

Monday was the epic. I was late for lecture, but usually I skip so it was a rare occasion. Then I took a lift, and a Myanmar worker entered at level 6. Suddenly the lift jerked, and my reaction was, "Is it because of the construction taking place?" He called his fellow worker, then I just looked through my notes, organizing them. Despite our language barrier, I found out that it was just the lift. I then called the hotline and during that period we talked a little, then I looked through my things again. I wasn't panic or shocked at all, wow. Rather, I was glad that I was finally stuck in the lift! For I had never experienced such cases. It was a little short and not dramatic at all though. Everything lasted for 20 over minutes.

I'm getting my PDL and I've finally called Mr Ng. People like me, I have to do the actions immediately or procrastination will overrun. I'm gonna watch Changeling and study for Basic Calulus OPEN BOOK exam on Thursday. Such a wet blanket it's open book, with all the lecture notes and tutorial answers!! Well, if I get full marks then I should get A so perhaps it's a good thing afterall. Thanks to the previous test, I'm not sure if I could get A even if I get full marks. Oh man.

光阴似箭 日月如梭

I want to watch:
RED CLIFF II
The Wedding Game
Love Matters
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

I may watch these too...
Changeling
The Duchess
Inkheart

I have no idea why days past so fast. Years in poly were over in a blink. Days are really passing very quickly. 3 out of 5 weekdays I have no school, officially, unofficially. I think I spent my time too unwisely. Time to reflect!

No matter what, I'll make sure I get to watch the movies I want, be it by myself or not. Perhaps it's time to start dating my girlfriends. Pretty please?

I was just thinking, my friday is still unoccupied, after make-up tutorials. And my mum hasn't went for any movies in a while. So I'm taking her out! :)

Monday, January 26, 2009

i realized, i've actually managed to become friends with people i like, whom i wanted to become friends with. people like jx, mary, jiekai, isabel, etc. though we may not be close friends, we could if we want to, if we try harder.

so i was just thinking. wow. somehow, somewhat, fate brought us together, just like i wanted it to be. however, there are some exception. hr doesnt reply my offline messages, and i have no reasons to sms him. i cant really talk to him now coz he's always busy, and he thinks i like him or sth. so i just tell myself, forget it. when the time comes, it will come.

another exception. i have known him for 2 years, almost. he's always alone, always first to leave to catch his bus number 8. but he smiles and laughs too and is serious in what he's doing. haha. just, independent people intrigues me. it's going to be our last year, so maybe i'll try to find a chance to talk to him.

Happy Chinese New Year. it didn't exactly start out right coz i just missed the last bus to aunt's place. i've got no idea why i want to spend it over at grandpa's place so badly. maybe it's a custom already. partly for the pineapple tarts, for the angbao, maybe? for the atmosphere, or going just for the sake of going. to see grandpa, and grandma before it's too late. i can't imagine the pain of losing a loved one.

speaking of that, my mum's cousin, my.. aunt. she's lying unconsciously in Mount Elizabeth Hospital. room 5267 or something. heard from my mum she's suffering from several illness and has been there for 5 days already. it's new year, supposed to be a joyous celebration... she used to take care of me and pamper me. i remember the feelings. God bless.

my first hindi* movie

It was a whole new experience of course, with my friend Dhatchayani, an Indian. I had no idea why I was watching with her but she really, really wanted to watch. And the title is "Chandni Chowk to China".

First we had our lunch at The Central's Manhattan Fish Market. The fish was excellent, service so-so, price was affordable! I would definitely go again for the Grilled Platter for One/Two or something similar.

Then we bought tickets at Jade cinema! It was my first time visiting Jade and I was actually quite surprised to see a Chinese serving at the box office. She was quite old though. The one in charged of candy bar, and the one who opened the door were Chinese too! I mean, this cinema shows films in Tamil, natural people who watch it would know Tamil, and Chinese don't. Nvm.

The film was really unexpectedly funny though a bit cliché and WOW, it's been a long time since I've had a 3-hour long movie. It was really worth my $8 which had an intermission for nothing. It was more of a tradition and has no reason for it anymore. I didn't expect to see Chinese acting in it though the movie title is to CHINA. Just didn't had that thought.

Anyway, the main actor was a Taekwondo black belt thus he was chosen. With all the stunts and fights the main actor has to put up, it would be of course be at optimum if he already knew how to fight without injuring himself. Though there weren't many people in the theatre, I saw Chinese watching it! Haha another WOW. This is the best indian film I've even seen, though it's my first. It's very interesting with the plot, the acting, the fighting etc. What's more, there's a sequel which is gonna be "China to Africa" hah.

We both had no idea Chandni Chowk was a part of India, btw. Many thanks to the subtitles if not we wouldn't really understand the whole thing lol. And Dhatch, you owe me $8 still.

(:

i had 2 singing sessions this week.

last monday, met up with mary, jon, hs, yx, weidong and cs to return mary something. lunch-ed at pastamania. for some reason, jon and cs couldn't finish their creamy chicken. then impromptuly, weidong called teoheng for ktv at 3pm. so we took a bus, and began.

yx sang SHE, cs chose rainie yang. weidong's singing was really shocking, shockingly nice haha. cs was not bad too, esp the One Night in Beijing. i couldn't really hear jon sing coz hs was singing along w/o the mic right beside me. 3 people's first time for karoake woot.

wednesday, met up for projects, then BTT e-trial. when i reached, sam and jeryl were descending the stairs. when i was home, i was so shocked looking at dhatch's blog. i actually MISSED her but caught them. she left too early hahaha.

i brought ai-xin wan-can for my moon from home and we dined at the cafeteria. we were bascially just talking, then yuan arrived and he continued studying. after they left for their trials, i resumed my pool game in the nds. 10mins before mine, i continued from where i left off. there wasn't enough time so i went up anyway. didn't know there were 6 to choose from so randomly picked 6 then 2 and passed the 2nd time.

friday, was the deadline for cma2 so i had to crawl up from early in the morning to hand it up then head to ubi for BTT. saw sicheong & chatted with him! he wished me luck for BTT haha. i was very early because i was ahead of time by 40mins (wrong information given). coincidentally, i got on bus 8 and saw moon and yuan. so i read through the book the 2nd time and started the test.

i didn't know there was a ppt showing till i looked at the direction the person next to me was looking at. i only saw the scanning nric part, then i logged in and started on my test. roughly 4 or 5 questions i was unsure of so when it said End Test? i simply clicked ok and... PASSED.
i think i took slightly more than 5min. the invigilator signalled me to get out so i did. i went down to find out where to sign up for FTT. w/o my nric, i went up, realised i forgot to print my results. went inside to get my things and signed up for FTT. i checked just a few questions, my moon checked 1 time and yuan checked twice. no wonder so slow.

we went to katong shopping centre next, for teoheng. eden jianwen and zhuen were there already. none of us had lunch so i went down to get 4 packets of chicken rice. jw had 2. ze and moon didn't want any. sing sing sing, end of session. went to aston's for dinner. eden's treat haha. then lan at few doors away. dota and a bit of cs. then all of us took 10 to tampines and took some pictures before we split.

finally said HI to melvin on bus 67 with eden. i thought he forgot about me, apparently not! my 4/2 classmate haha. and i know he knows benjamin and jikai too. i only wonder where is tan yean miao, the notorious guy in my P2 class lol.

saturday, watched ong bak 2 with jj and cs. it was supposed to be Australia loh! i didn't know till i saw the ticket stub. apparently they thought it was too late but they didn't said it was gonna be ongbak. so i was just thinking, my first thai ong bak show, maybe it's a good experience afterall. there was a storyline well, attempted. the fighting scenes are pretty different from western and chinese styles, more of fighting to kill. then the story ended abruptly talking about karma omg. for what?! the ending was no ending but i guess, besides that it was pretty a good experience.

then i went to have a steamboat dinner with raymond! (: wow after not seeing him so long, he's still the same lah. we had a good chat throughout our journey to the east. and.... he said he was pissed coz he was actually thinking what movie we can watch together lol. anyway i know because of the work he was doing and the lack of sleep thus the irritance. benjamin button, hope we'll get to see it together.

next was xiao ai's chalet. i've never been so busy on a saturday man. jieyi and emylee were already there. lokto was on bus 15, slower than my 21. yonghao was waiting for her, so, late too. we just ate, and stood around and chatted. took some pictures, then went off already. don't know the people at all, no reason to talk to them, so we left at around 10pm to mcdonalds. chatted awhile and went to catch the last few buses. bingshun was telling me about NS life and loose joints. let's hope his injury won't affect his future performance. and i'm seriously thinking of joining. then my mum told me, "people are trying to get out, while you're trying to get in". well, lol.

lijmae

Lol I don't know when the debts would be cleared, so just forget it. Take your time hur. When you get your pay in cash then you shall return!

Gosh. I'm addicted to 一支梅~ I like him not because he's handsome or whatever, but he looks really charming switching the day & night roles. Well, being attracted to his role has resulted in being mesmerized by him lol.

The show is really nice, with a lot of twists and suspense. Even the starting music sounds mysterious! My favourite show. Even better than Hong Kong ones.

YES! Man
Starring Jim Carrey as Carl Allen
First he says 'no' to everything; then he says 'yes' to all. He found love, had a promotion, everything was going smoothly. Except that the more he says 'yes', the more unluckier he gets. Then he decides to decide for himself whether it would be a 'yes' or 'no'. So, he settled on 'maybe', with a happy ending.
-with mary & jon.

The Visitor
Starring Richard Jenkins as Walter Vale
This old man (with white hair) steps into his over-15-years vacant home to find a couple, who had been staying there for 2 months. The visitor changed his life by teaching him to play drums, and aroused his interest for that. The visitors made him feel life again, and he felt love.
The main actor was awarded as Best Actor of the Year Award of some sort - well, a serious contender for the 2008 Academy Award for best actor.
-with xin & ben.

Bedtime Stories
Starring Adam Sandler
as Skeeter Bronson
This Mr Fixed-It-All had no say in the holiday resort he had passionately worked for for over 25 years, since it was his father's. Then it's like a fairytale - down, up, down, up. Happy ending.
-with xin.
