Salt

Matthew 5:13
You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?
It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

1. Salt Flavors
We flavor the earth.
Colossians 4:6
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

2. Salt Preserves
Preserve good cultures.
Mark 9:50
Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it?
Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another.

3. Salt Melts Ice
Break the ice in every relationship.

4. Salt Makes People Thirsty
Be thirsty for God.
John 7:37
If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

5. Salt Brings Healing
We have the abilities to heal.
2 Kings 2:19-22
Elisha went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there.
Thus says the Lord: "I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness."

The only way salt loses its flavor is due to its impurities.

I want to say that I'm glad some of my friends are still here and sort of gave me a farewell dinner before I left Singapore for 14 days. The IKEA meal was sumptuous. It reminded me of the previous time I came here for dinner with yu and man, that was last August! And as anyone can see, this is what we had - for the gang, missing jiemin.

And I'm glad that I met up with the BFFs days just before my trip. Well, ya know, in case something happened to the Cathay Pacific planes, there are no regrets. Of course, I didn't meet up with some people and I have no idea what they were busy with, really. Anyway, we had a mini celebration followed by the zombies game.

Then it was goodbye, Singapore.

diploma

I want to first start off that I'm not a pictures person. Thus all the photos you will see are taken when I am in the mood, and mostly I just take them for fun.

Anyway, happy 2010 everybody! Welcome back to: saying goodbyes.

First Goodbye
Well I realized I didn't take the last look of Temasek Polytechnic. This reminds me most of TP though.

Yup. See the red color thing? It's the Team Temasek badge. And that volleyball which bel gave me during our internship which is not worth mentioning at all. The level meter key chain my dad gave me. The bread which had a scent when I first bought it. The cute kitten key chain Eeyen bought in Taiwan. So, goodbye Temasek. Though I would most probably be going back for training since I will not carry that regret of not attaining the Black.

My only friends were: Dhatchayani, Foo Chia Hui, Florence Eng, Isabel. Others? More of classmates, being friendly and acquaintances. Even as fate brought us together in doing projects. We've had fun for sure, especially the last term. The only fun time in rushing projects but also at my least productive level.

I have graduated from Temasek Polytechnic. Diploma in Accounting & Finance. Pursuing (soon) a degree in UOL hopefully through some bridging course. ACCA? Guess accounting is not my life-long partner. Oh yea, my seal points should be around 240 - Excellent, Distinction maybe. GPA is lower than 3.0, since for sem 1.1 I was graded unfairly. Down sloping motivation is what polys bring you by the way.

It's time, to say goodbye.

some things dont change

Last friday (18th Dec), I went on a short trip to Johor Bahru (Taman Pelangi Indah) with my Mum in the morning. We met up with Uncle and shopped at Jusco for groceries. The exchange rate was 1:2.43-.44 and everything was really cheap lol. I could have bought my Lee Cooper Leena red color shoes if not for the limited stock, the usual. Anyway I bought a handphone strap and some chocolates. Too bad no time to continue my hunt for the shoes though..

We spent the rest of our Friday at home, just lazing around actually. It was far too short to laze around 'cause the following day I exited the customs with my Uncle and rushed to school. It was for Ren Ci Hospital, flag-raising day. Okay, I thought I would get the green CSC shirt but oh well.
After wasting time, we finally took a bus ride over to City Hall to commence the event. I went to Marina Square's entrance but of course, it gives me a feeling of familiarity - the roadshows we used to work at. Plus, the crowd is never-ending. I was really hardworking, repeating the same phrase continuously I felt like recording and re-playing to the next person. Surprisingly I didn't suffer any sore throat nor flu from my repetition of lines and the occurence of heavy rainstorm.

It took me 2 hours, still, to fill the tin almost to the brim. My hands were too tired from holding the heavier tin and my exhaustion. After I returned I went to Pacific City for entertainment lol. My laptop was sent to repair for 2 entire weeks - so I used the Macbook for some leisure. Then there was an overflowing of crowd, such that I was mistaken for a staff I don't understand why. I think because I was playing on the Macbook lol. There was Edogawa and Sumo. I noticed that the people who walked in are very decisive. Once they set their minds on something, they just say, "I'll take it", walk to the cashier and pay for the item(s). Well that wasn't the cause for this Caucasian couple though.

Alright, now the most exciting part. I met up with Addy to make our way to Changi Airport. Pengsoon was already there, Vicki reached shortly, Kelvin got out at 6.30pm - our meeting time. Haha. We had dinner at Xin Wang HK Café. Simply chatting and reminiscing and wondering, how comfortable we were together, when it has been almost a year since we've last hanged out! Maybe Kel was right - we had such a strong bond it simply rekindles. Well, I left a seat for Cherie...

Next was supposedly the viewing mall which Addy so much wanted to view. But we viewed this instead -

That was when we decided to watch this fantastic movie about the Qing dynasty (1906) period where fights for democracy were uprising. We watched the 0020 show at Shaw Century Square. With ample time, we went to Coffee Bean first.

1905, City of Victoria (British Colony of Hong Kong)

In the distance of thirteen blocks, the one man who holds a nations fate must survive relentless attempts on his life with only five bodyguards to protect him. Against hundreds of assassins, these men must put their courage to the test in order to protect the hopes of millions in this perilous night even if it means fighting to the death...

For more details - visit http://ent.sina.com.cn/f/m/shywch/index.shtml

The movie ended. It was such a magnificent movie I couldn't think of anything to say. We splitted - peng, vick & i; addy & kel - and took cab home. =)

interesting routine

I'm proud to say, I'm going back to training woooooooooooooot.

Haha, okay it may have been an excuse - I pulled my ligament & healing from the heavy collision from IVP - but it's a fact that I've spent HUNDREDS of dollars for treatment and etc. because of it. Nvm, a whole new experience huh LOL.

First I'll have to say, I've watched a whole lot of movies during these 2 almost-super-free months. Other than internship, I'm pretty free. Well even with internship, I was pretty free but shall not explain it here as details are strictly confidential. So since I was too free, I hanged out with a group of friends like almost every day.

Paranormal activity; My girlfriend is an agent; 2012; Zombieland; 风云II

These were the recent movies I've watched. All I can say is My gf is an agent is an awesome movie and those who missed it, you missed out ALOT. The others, I have not much comments. However for 2012, I really suffered a bad ache throughout the 3-hour length film.

Life has been quite a wonderful routine. The frequent mahjong sessions were what I looked forward to during my boring internship days. During the soccer sessions, time always pass by quickly and strangely I was never bored. There's also Adeline and Mingyue to do some catching up once in a while. There's also the fengshan buddies where we'll meet up on a monthly basis or something.

At least for this semester I'll have my friends in most of the lectures so I won't want to skip. Plus, I get to see Dhatch almost every day of the school week. Recently we've been meeting up with jovita, cheryl, florence and jiemin too. There's also this sort of Air Rifle outing this Saturday. Yup, it's getting real boring.

I've attended my first riding practical and it became clear to me that for some lessons, it is IMPOSSIBLE to pass with first try as the lesson has to cover what 100mins is not enough to do so. The bike is damn heavy, no joke. Even guys have difficulty setting the brakes on/off the stands. It takes technique and strength oh man. My arm ached the next day, badly. It's not easy but it won't be too hard for me. :)

The breeze I felt at probably 30km/h was too cooling to be true. The experience was simply great and I didn't feel like I was falling or anything close. I have a feeling I would love my Kawasaki, when I get it. <3

Alright, going Malaysia to take a breather from Friday morning till Saturday. I'll do nothing at home anyway.

happy day!

i feel so honoured coz changsong said there were more laughters because i was there. (added with sarcasm)

anyway actually i feel quite happy. (not with reference to the above)

even though i'm having really sore shoulders which most likely resulted in sitting through 9 episodes of smallville.

went to rocher blk 4 chien chi tow with my mum again. saw my uncle but no massaging this time round.

i sat at soup spoon trying to enjoy the fudge cake and caffe latte after going to food for thought to find it closed on sundays.

room for dessert was closed too, as i have concluded, when no one picked up the phone.

after which i went to iluma for at least 1 hour, exploring and checking out Sony Ericsson W995 and the accessories. it's in the no. 1 to get list now.

then i saw this watch shop trends on my way out. and it was a love at first sight... which would leave me with $260 less in my bank account.

on the left - this is the closest i can find
on the right - it attracted my attention

i think i'm changing target lol.

feels that i have not enough money now with 300 here 300 there and 300 everywhere. nothing left! i need a high paying job man.

shin yuu = 亲友 LOL

yesterday was the day we celebrate hong & cs birthday which is today.

first i went swimming with a few and i'm half-tanned half-burned now. we swam for about 2 hours and i'm improving!

second we took 67 which was an hour and a half long ride to bukit timah road and made our way to Shin Yuu at 16 Greenwood Ave. buffet is 48++ for each person. there was a lot of variety and good food, definitely worth the price. total there was 10 of us which got us a private room with special service lol. the manager kept coming in to take orders and recommend some dishes not in the menu. he even gave us free flow of iced green tea after i ate that spicy tuna California roll. total bill amounted to 576.70 or somewhere along there. most of them were on hong-loan lol.

third we took 67 back but this time it's faster without the jam. then we went home and made our way to mahjong till dawn. all's well till when we slept, we could never wake up and continue playing lol. a re-match? maybe tonight hah.

while on the way back, bryan and i were separated by the aisle. even when people left he refused to move his butt. then there was this man sitting beside me, he couldn't stand it anymore and stood up to exchange seats with him. only then he shifted. lol it was damn funny, including some funny messages and the creative zen vision m.

i want to swim more run more play basketball more. stamina sucks eh. and tp refused to give me the NAPFA fitness training lol ass.

nothing beats a nice get together.

woot. just came back from gab's place after a birthday surprise spoilt by zhuang keyi. seriously she could have smsed wuss or that unknown number and anyone else instead of gabriel right. anyway, i specially got the cake from awfully chocolate from katong and arrived after 12pm.

only weijie, changsong, wuss, gab, eugene and i were there as the rest couldn't make it. they dota and we mahjong and i got lazy so didn't go over to millenia walk to meet cherie and adeline. no luck in gambling at all man.

had lunch nearby. ordered canadian pizza and went down for table tennis while waited for its arrival. it was fun playing all of them looked as if they had been playing a lot last time. next time we can play badminton or tennis and night cycling etc.

last sunday went to geylang with eeyen for dinner. from lunch dragged to dinner actually. first lor 29 bak kut teh and some fish soup, then yong he's soya bean milk, bean curd, fried fritters and this shao bing, and finally this warm milk tea with goat's milk which we only took a sip of and the beef pancake at this 蒙古 place at lor 15.

it's really the tiny, noticeable things that mattered okay. it was a nice get together after a long while. i'll make it a point to not lose contact with a good friend again.

friday was a historical day! i came to yue's place to find yuan helping stan with his report. then, he offered to give me a ride to yuan's soka and back to yue's place haha. it was like a whole new experience. never had such a bumpy and hilarious and memorable ride before. wang mingyue missed out ALOT! date longer la. told you i was going over at 9 plus already.

i look forward to graduation and then i shall slowly plan my taiwan trip, learn some additional languages and save up for a world tour! best solution is to become an air stewardess. working towards the goal - improve swimming, learn makeup skills, be elegant (HAHA) and learn advanced japanese.

problematic child. 问题儿童.

Oh, time flies. It's been a month wow.

So to continue from my previous post, Jerome was greatly missed so I asked him out for LAN on the following Saturday (22nd August). He found me at Starbucks studying after Rowena left with Nas. Because of Rowena, I heard WeiLian sang live at Bugis that day. Somehow she brings luck to me.

The following Saturday (29th Auguest), I was glad there was no Kumon. Went to Kbox at Downtown East with yuan, stan, el, constance and yue. A nice get together once in a while.

The last day of August (31st), since I was going to watch Final Destination with Dhatch and florenz, I went to find cuiwen and moon. Pleasant surprise, we both agreed. (:

The next day (1st September), I didn't want to go Sentosa alone (anywhere but Sentosa) so I'd asked florenz since she's so free. We had 2 rounds of Skyride following the Luge. Fun, but not fast enough.

There was a class lunch which only 9 people turned up on the 3rd of September at Tao's Restaurant. The food was averagely nice however it's more of only satisfactory level. Not one I would specially go back for anything.

Over the weekends (4th & 5th September), mum and I went to Pelangi Indah because of florenz's initial suggestion of shopping at JB. So thanks to her, I sort of relaxed over there but then this time it was more of boring than relaxing. My mind wasn't at peace. When I drove my aunt's 11 year-old manual car, it was so loose I can't control it at all. It's alright though, time will come again.

Before the commencement of SIP on 09/09/09, I went for a cheap hair cut before meeting the guys rick, gem yl for Astons Specialities at Katong. After which, with my convincing skills off we go to Home of Pool for pool of course. Then, we continued our plan for L4D. Those 2 got so addicted the first time trying and I had to keep chasing them off the computers. It was only till 2 plus in the wee hours that they finally stood up! My first day of SIP, I tried so hard to stay awake while listening to everything Jason had to say.

The attire would be just casual, but I took the chance and spotted this pair of white Converse covered shoes and bought it, after 1 hour of consideration haha. Few days later, I finally got myself determined to get this pair of purple and white Asics sports shoes too. There is never enough. Guess it's pretty true though females usually go for flats and slippers etc.

Went to the Comex show for 3 out of the 4 days. To find rick & yl and have dinner with gem at Pepper Lunch (the other 2 too full). To have dinner together including yongxing at Carl's Jr. To have supper with cs bryan (that idiot left though) gab eugene guangwei yanqi keyi at some coffeeshop place in Bugis (we walked over from Suntec) to find all the full timers there too.

Finally met up with Yewf & Daniel too on Saturday night. Hope all goes well for you bro. Even though there wasn't much contact, I slowly realized it's not the quantity and that I've quite misunderstood some of the intentions. Anyway, just glad that some things remain.

JUMP at Esplanade Concert Hall on the 13th September. It was wonderful, got me high and motivated but I don't really get the story since they're all Koreans and don't speak our kind of English and without microphones and seated at Circle 1 doesn't exactly helps especially this irritating woman beside me must lean forward on the railings and block who knows how many people's view. Nevertheless, it was a nice martial arts performance.

Just had a overnight stay at Orchid Country Club for Priscilla Soo 's 20th birthday celebration on the 18th September. The events were all planned out. Poolside party (missed that), KTV, Pool, back to sleep or do whatever you want. I went with aizhen & 永远强壮的永壮. He's 1983 baby, 2 years to black belt. The duets for pris & yc were very smoothing and enjoyable too.

Out of 5 rounds we played I won once. Then back to square one. Played daidee at first then just sat down and chatted before they decided to finish off the Martell bought from the Aranda lounge. So here we go, up/down, 3 cards lowest points wins. Everybody takes a sip here and there, then half a cup for each round, pretty soon the Martell was finished. We continued with Carlsberg but time flies when you're having fun. yc had to leave for work at 6 and then we all had a rest.

Henri came to fetch me from Yishun Central and roughly told me about what he's doing now. On our way back (he had to go aljunied), I drove him there WOOT! It's a manual mini van with a confusing rearview and being 190cm him, the side mirrors and rearview mirror were really out of my alignment. Just as I got in and all set, 2 cars were blocking everyone's way. Who knows what really happened to the owner of the first car. It seems to me that a young boy was moving forward so as not to block the way. It also seems that 2 cars were fighting for the same parking lot. I have no idea.

I was so panicky because his reverse is different from the usual cars and the turning was so narrow and there was no space on the left side previously because of the car blocking everyone's way. I forgot to turn there must be allowance on the right side you see. Just got up the driver's seat and this kinda thing happened. Unlucky huh!? I didn't dare to continue so we switched back lol. I became the driver again after getting out of the building.

At first I was getting used to. We were at Marine Parade and he didn't give clear instructions beforehand so we were making a merry-go-round and I took off my slippers too for better handling. The clutch wasn't loose (it's only 3 year-old) so I was used to it after a short while. Pretty soon I went up to gear 4 and down and up and down. Basically the journey was smooth BUT you must enter the driver's world to understand the dangers and the irresponsibilities and recklessness of certain drivers. Namely, the MALE drivers.

I am never gonna drive at Aljunied/Geylang area, till I have seasoned my driving skills. The drivers there are HORRIBLE and IMPOLITE and just squeeze through any space they could find. Crap right. Haha thanks Henri for entrusting your car to me. Woooo~

问题儿童. Simply means I ask too much. -.-

be myself day

friday was be myself day.

breakfast was at Coffee Club. first time having a meal there, the food was quite good but the service was excellent overall. however nice the food is, it is not much to my liking. i like my apples to be in a pie; i like the mushrooms to be boiled; i like my coffee to be white coffee tarik; i like my waffles to go with ice-cream and plenty of chocolate syrup. other than that, all's fine.

lunch was sort of skipped. spent my afternoon playing poker on facebook. i'm currently addicted to the game which is not a good sign as i ought to be focus. finally bought 走唱 陈伟联 and 陈奕迅 不想放手. i realisd i've grew up to become more daring and confident, arrogant in a sense. since we've had $20 vouchers, i borrowed a popular card for a 10% off the stationery while the vouchers for my albums. actually we only saved $2 but there was $6 off Eason's album because of GSS ?!?

getting the albums were my motivation to go for work. so apparently i lost my motivation to work earlier today as i called in sick. i would have gone to work, with sickness, if there were sufficient motivation. need to spare a thought for the kids though.

the other day i bought 2 formal blouses from dorothy perkins. on friday, a pair of formal pants from G2000. ii was very troubled as i have no idea yet if these were necessary. if not, perhaps for a proper full time job i'd find myself after graduation. even with the traveling plans or sign on, i'm sure it'll all work out nicely.

anyway, dinner was at the soup spoon. i'd say it was only so-so but the chocolate cake looks fine, i'll probably come back just for that though. the clam chowder wasn't that bad but the sandwich tasted too much of capsicums and unappetising. after dinner i went for a little workout. 324 was the score, not too bad but at the end of it bascially my hands were almost numb.

then, i thought of jerome. wished we could have played counterstrike, blackshot, left4dead or dota together. well, i had fun playing all that (except dota) and it was really enjoyable. never felt so relaxed for a long time.

fate brought me to dhoby ghaut, so i thought of trying the rocher bean curd, again. to my dismay it tasted about the same as before even though the before was already cold. guess i still prefer Mr Bean's no matter what. the queue was amazingly long, especially being a friday night i guess. along my way, there is this Mr Bean cafe 24hours. i'm going to go there for supper or what someday.

i did whatever i felt like doing. out. then, i watched whatever i wanted to watch. though there are still LOTS of shows like Doraemon, Tom & Jerry, and some HK dramas and some TW dramas recommended by some friends, and some animes highly recommended by a friend. i'll finish all that during my SIP period, where all time is to be spent in front of my laptop, watching stuffs. that'll be my mission.

till then.

Sweden with you.

Ho-ho.

I went to school at 6pm when I had no lessons (self-declared holiday). We were doing Trading and Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet for 3 financial years for his Entrepreneurship (CDS). It was already almost 9pm so we took a cab to Ikea for a delightful dinner. The fare was not even 5 bucks.

Chocolate mousse. 2 Pasta with Meatballs. 15pcs Meatballs. 6pcs Chicken Wings. 2 Soft drinks.
Total: $36
Level of Satisfaction: Max.
Level of Fullness: Exceed Max.

So we walked around the place but the furnitures were all upstairs so didn't see much. More of to digest our food. I bought this bar of Sweden dark chocolate before leaving too. Continued our walk to the stop with 39 and there we parted.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, but makes the mind forget.
Sometimes I do forget the existence of some cherished friends, but the moment we meet up again, nothing has changed. Love this feeling. Thanks for the almost-free meal. The food was definitely better than that of Deli France. I think I just spoiled my appetite (wanting better quality food).

:)

say something happy

I passed with 10 points. Dramatic experience coz in my mind I was already thinking, it was a goner. To my surprise, I passed! You don't know how disturbing it was when he 'tap tap tap' on that whatever system they call.

So I passed everything first time, with a total of $1,052.20, inclusive of theory (BTT e trial too! waste of money i'd say) and practical along with PDL and my driving license. :)

Thing is, it seemed as though nobody could fail. I was real panicky and my engine even stalled. Once, as I was waiting to make a right turn back to Ubi. Forgotten to change back to gear 1 as I was moving into the circuit. Then, I forgot to change to gear 1 into the S course resulting in striking kerb. It was my first station, not a good start definitely. Up and down the slope was quite bumpy and I made sure I knew his exact instructions were by double confirming. However after doing a perpendicular parking (it was gooood. first i turned too fast then i turned right and left full lock and tada!), he told me to U-turn at that narrow place and told me to move towards the kerb and park there. There was a car already then and it was actually blocking my way so I moved in front lol. He even said I don't listen to instructions (luckily the car in front was moving out so phew).

No emergency brake, thankfully. No chance to show of my engine braking (learned it with the constant nagging). Engine stalled. Didn't signal when I thought I should have. However, the paper was so plain (only striking kerb) and I got a shock when he said I passed (i thought it was gone case all the way along the road, esp after engine stalled). After I got down the car, some guy was smiling at me no idea asking/telling me "pass". Yeah that's why I missed the video and wasted an hour doing nothing lol.

Wow, I haven't blogged for an entire month in July.

30th June;
Had been craving for Gelaré so headed down with Moon and caught Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Fascinating. Now, it reminds me of Batman: The Dark Knight. Heroic. I'm gonna watch it again. Bought the tickets the day before. Use NETS, and it's only $6/8 per ticket.

5th July;
Dramatic day. Again, I was just in time for my grading. Other than panickingly searching for my grading card, all went well till I twisted my knee and lost balance. Continued with the grading (sparring) and I sincerely hoped I wasn't worsening the condition. The medics in charged were spouting nonsense, about the worse, WORST senario. However I couldn't stop laughing. It was kind of a memorable experience, you know. Who gets to send off in ambulance, laughing?

What's more, after 5mins up the van-converted-ambulance, the engine couldn't get started. So they called 995. Wow, what a chance to be sent to TTSH in an ambulance, for free, somewhat laughing. I think I am the happiest patient to be sent to hospital, really.

All was a hoax. A lot of crap, the usual. Wasted my $85 and I was too stunned to react to the X-ray. It was ligament issue I have no idea why X-ray had to be taken. Claiming STILL in process.

Had dinner with AiZhen at Waraku @ Velocity while the rest went to ZhengFa Steamboat to celebrate FangBei's birthday. It was great experience as I ordered this duo-meal with a pizza and spaghetti. Had thought the noodles would be too little but turned out sufficient, while the pizza is a bit off standard. Then again, it was my first time trying Japanese pizza. Perhaps it was meant to taste that way. Not to my liking, definitely.

10th July;
Met up with AiZhen, GuiWen, XiTing, LokTo, Nick, Nigel, Naz, Hafiq, Darryl, Daniel to watch Ice Age 3 at Tampines Mall. My first movie. Not bad, quite interesting, better than had expected. TeaDot is nice, not a good place to spend your money at, though. Their hot chocolate tasted normal. However I could consider trying out some of their cakes. Same as for those at Say Cheeze.

12th July;
Travelled most distance since a long time, by foot. Terrible experience I'd say. With the tinkles of sweat and limping leg, where's the joy man. Other than the accompany. Great dinner at Fisherman & Wharfs opposite The Central. The Snow White was good, though the usual dory wasn't that bad either.

In a failed attempt to find Ya Hua Ba Kut Teh, we went to Rocher Bean Curd off Selegie Road instead. Two hours walk in total oh my God. The bean curd was already cold when I had the appetite, so guess I have to go back and try again. Also, at Tao's and Giraffe nearby.

17th July;
Date of submission for AA project was postponed to Monday. Nonetheless, we still wanted to get it over and done with. YongWen came to find Shiyu after his CRA presentation (most likely it was) and they suggested Mahjong at Shiyu's. Conveniently I was sitting beside her and I agreed with no considerations lol. Been such a long, long time since I last played!

Bought dinner, ate and started. Good experience, even won some money. Took cab home. Conveniently this taxi just dropped someone and we didn't even have to walk to main road. Turns out the uncle learns Qi Kung and he taught Allan and I to breathe in, breathe out, breathe in and breathe out through the mouth. Repeat for 200 times every morning at a park or something and you'll feel a difference. No park! Without a long flight of stairs, so I don't really do that. Money won all spent on cab fare but nevertheless, it was wonderful.

18th July;
Had Sakae sushi platter with AiZhen, GuiWen, XiTing, Janice at East Coast Park. The unagis were so tasteful, I wonder if they have them in the menu, not just for platters. The cheese sushi tasted oddly delicious too. Guess it would be good to try their lunch/dinner buffet someday!

23rd July;
Had lunch at Swensons (YUCK) with Stanley and Moon. Please provide more details when I had no menu in hand next time! Food suck. Great company. What more can I say lol. Splitted after lunch though.

Dinner was at Suki Yaki, which people said it sucked. The pudding was one of the kind you could conveniently get off shell in NTUC. The unagi in my handroll was pathetic. I liked the unagi and tamago the first time I bought takeaway though. I still crave for the unagi sushi in the Sakae Platter.

Watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with Adeline at Cineleisure. The most exciting scene wasn't in. What a crappy movie. You know, when before Dumbledore and Harry got back from wherever, the Deatheaters were SUPPOSED to be already have invaded Hogwarts and Ron, Hermoine and gang were SUPPOSED to be fighting them off. If not for the liquid luck or whatever they call it, they wouldn't have been able to stall to long. TOTALLY MISSED OUT. Boring. Boring. Boring.

Okay, back to happy stuffs, I passed driving. I wanna drive a car. Hopefully able to psycho weiguang and let me drive for a while but without the probation plates?! Time to sleep!

psycho-ed in success. of course, he has good faith in me. :) unlike that sicheong who “一朝被蛇咬,十年怕井蛇……” didn't get to see yuan dance live! at least there's video as backup.

Lost? Fret not.

I've been contemplating to skip school today. The decision was made when Chia Hui wanted to skip Apel haha.

Watched Land of the Lost. Pretty lame show but watching with a lame person pretty much made it a good one. A very light-hearted show, good to watch to lighten your mood. Oh, don't forget to stay for the credits. Everyone left before the end of the interesting animations and missed the last part.

It was a good rain. Walking in the rain is really sweet. Provided it's with the right person. Walking under the umbrella is sweeter haha.

Hardy Rocky Café

Let me start off with my Korea Ginseng Chicken BBQ Buffet on Wednesday at Crystal Jade Korean Restaurant, Centrepoint. The receipt is longer than my 14.1" laptop!

Seafood pancake; Beef; Mutton; Chicken Fillet; Bacon; Pork; Fish Fillet; Cuttle Fish; Chicken Wing; Sausage; Grilled Mackerel; Dumpling Soup - Beef; Seaweed Soup (Beef); Beef Soup; Fried Rice with Seafood; Coconut Sage; Chilled Coconut Cake.

There's still some Kim Chi variety and spicy meat and mussels and red bean cream, which I didn't try. So anyway, anyone would see that I pretty much enjoyed eating because the quantity was not x1 but x2,3,4 and maybe more. I think I ate the most at my table, though I don't think they would agree lol.

Then Friday, is the day I finally mended my jeans. I'm having regrets about going Lucky Plaza now. So what if Levis recommended it? This is a place where everyone cheats everyone. I mean, it's a tourist attraction for goodness sake. Should have let Chia Hui's mum see it and let the pro do it.

Dhatch and I walked quite a bit to hunt for Hard Rock Café. Just the name itself has enough attraction isn't it. I'll just say, Hard Rock is not called Hard for nothing. In every single drink, and I mean EVERY, it contains hard liquor. I couldn't even tell what kind of liquor is that except the Baileys Irish Cream whatever coffee. The one I ordered was Café XXXX with Grand MXXXX and Tia Maria. I didn't think much and just chose that. Turns out, the coffee made me more sleepy instead of the intended effect. The liquor was so strong that I ordered some snacks to go along. However, second mistake. What did I do? I went to order Bruschetta with loads of tomatoes and just olive oil and permesan cheese to go along on the garlic bread. Tasted a bit like vomit, I managed to gorge myself on that. The service was fantastic though. Had to ask 3 times for a menu. Never wanna go again haha.

Buffets are so wonderful, though the after effect usually isn't. I have a good news to share! HOKKAIDO FAIR is coming soon from the 3rd to 12th. I'll probably go on the 8th since the ramen I want is only available from then.

A List of Must-Haves:
Gyokai Shoyu Ramen (Fish Soup Base Soy Sauce) $12
Mori No Ikameshi (Seasoned Squid with Glutinous Rice) $6.80
Butter Manju (Custard) $12

Maybes:
Grilled Scallop $5.50
Hakodate Chocolate $17
Dango Stick $2.30
Hi-Cocoa Strawberry Chocolate $5.30
Gelato $4.50-$6.50
Full Moon $19.80
Fruits Omelette $5
Scrambled Cheese Cake $16.50

I already bought a can of Sapporo classic canned beer at Orchard. As for the squid and cuttlefish we always get, it's 3 for $25. Haha need to be thrifty for the week for my japanese food stuffs. I spent over 30 at Hard Rock can you believe it. Well, consider buying an experience. I think their choice of music sucks though - they played Michael Jackson ALL DAY LONG.

a day with dad,

Not that nothing happy happened...

I had dinner at Shokudo at The Heeren with some of the guys the other weekend. Swimming was enjoyable, at any time; so is running, cycling and playing basketball. Of course, it would include my training.

Other than that, I did meet up with Yu Ting. She's doing fine, but only keeping in touch with her TJC friends. She would be flying to England, University College, London, to study arts in September. Nothing interests her as much as arts. James would be studying overseas too, also flying off in September. 2 more months to go, we should probably meet up again before the 4 years of distance.

On the 16th June, we celebrated Florence's birthday with the Jeremys, Chia Hui and Dhatch at Teo Heng. I think the cake could be better though. Any one from Angie The Choice or Awfully Chocolate. Money constraint, oh well. At least it was fun.

So it was Father's Day yesterday. I had thought it to be last week, since I had the impression it was last week. Last week was National Poomsae. All I could say is I did well since I made no mistakes other than the parts which I couldn't correct. Silver, again. It was a close call this time round, being 0.1 and 0.2 ahead of the other 3 participants. While the gold medalist? 1.0 point leading. I wonder how she did it.

Awaiting the award ceremony, AiZhen & I went to Suntec Convention Centre to find the guys. It was supposed to be this way, apparently it did not happen. Took the card, bought the Zen, ate our lunch at 5pm, McDonald's delivery to Pacific City and returned the card. And I only took 16min to and fro Creative store -.- At least it was funny to think about it haha. Plain childishness though........ Bad influence.

Back to Father's Day. Dad took me to ParkRoyal Hotel which he said was Plaza Hotel sometime somehow. Whichever the case, we had our buffet dinner at Plaza Brasserie, upon his friend's invitation.

can't let go

hahaha i'm a bit of emotionally unstable, such that i have no idea over what?!

not a good day to start off, the usual. the first time i cab to school for a tutorial, one which moved forward by an hour to be exact. 4 bucks gone just like that. the other night, 6 bucks, from bedok reservoir. alright, then lessons! sicheong. haha most entertaining lessons i ever had.

then chia hui and i took a different route to iras, my route, through mrt. reached, ate lunch at subway, then off to iras. just looking through the gallery, wasting time, feeling cold airs all over me. tried to find shiying on level 4, but couldn't get up. walked around the shops at velocity@novena. all of them are having the great singapore sale. then splitted with her to meet rowena at city hall.

we went to dorothy perkins, and the kind stephanie helped me find out which outlet has the green hoody i set my eyes on last saturday. the salesperson at ps gave me bullshit like it's sales item we can't reserve for you, can't help you check the stock at other outlet. she said nothing when i said i'll come back later. most importantly sad to say, i can't stand people who can't articulate english to be understandable.

so stephanie called me while we walked around marina square. okay, creative zen 2GB $119, 4GB $149, 8GB $189, 16GB $249. i'm still considering if i should get and if i do, which. even though i lost my wallet, i lost 200 bucks in terms of cash and remaking the cards. oh crap, if not i would be getting that 8gb one, and would have saved 80 bucks on my external hard drive with that casing so fragile.

after dinner, i went to wisma. tried it, checked it, bought it. usual price was $46 ya. the sales price was $26.40. i bought it for $19. with the size right. the ones at ps were size 14, the one i bought is size 10. so ya hahaha. yes i'm over the moon it's green! don't worry, you'll see me in it soon enough. (:

i was dying from laughing to choking on watermelon. when my mum told me my dad got a summon for not parking at the car park. i had to email the town council to appeal some more. inside joke.

i was doing research during the roadshow after i heard about MX500 being faced out. then i realize, my creative EP 570 is nothing compared to sennheiser MX500. one being 20-20,000hz, the other, 18 to 22,000 hz. quite a big difference if you compare the price. $35 for creative, $32 for sennheiser. a bit of being cheated but i like the design and it's clip on. that's all it matters.

that's all it matters.

may fate bring us together

The roadshow is over! I have no idea why they had this roadshow for 7 days straight but am glad to have worked over the weekends for extra cash, fun and laughter with friends.

Marina Square is freezing cold each time I step in there while Plaza Singapura is just, normal. MS ought to reflect on the impact they're dealing on our Earth. For the two days, there was only rowena, yong hao and I. With janice in charge on Sennheiser and the part time sales executive gao sheng. I keep thinking of his name as yongsheng.

Sales is no sales for me, so skip. Lunch at KFC, buddy meal, dinner at McDonald's EVM. Today's lunch was Carl's Jr., dinner was free from Chippy's with compliment to gao sheng. Before I want to pay him, he left to buy. After he took his packet, he left immediately. He's 25, studying Econs and Accounting in SMU, one and a half year to go. Previously from NP, biomedical engineering.

Throughout the whole thing, we had lots of fun talking to Nick D., the the-speedpaint-tard guy. Awed by his speed painting using the newest Wacom tablet which cost $599. Joking among ourselves, with gao sheng. I actually chatted quite a lot with him, nice guy. Legs aching but, not important. I'm thinking of what to have for breakfast later on and, look forward to seeing him during the upcoming PC show.

May fate bring us together again. That was somewhat what I told the St. Joseph Instituition 16-year-old Philippine kid.

smile.

Almost forgot what it's like to be happy.

Coz everything was not going right. Such as the long queue for the making of concession cards at Pasir Ris Interchange and that, Bedok's Raffles Medical Group actually was out of stock. Without ez-link card, I figured it is really a hassle. Then I realized, if I have called earlier, (1/30*$50) $1.66 refund every day, but I wasted... 4 days. Turns out, I still can get the refund of my bus concession woot. Not so bad huh. The irritating part is that, no matter what I still have to re-make it even though there are people coming to school to replace the cards. What a hassle.

Decided to get the injection at the Raffles Hospital instead. Then found them at Parco Bugis arcade. Played the usual, and then Nigel wanted to race. I sat beside him, realized that someone only inserted one token. So I took the advantage and played alongside him. I ALMOST WON. Nvm, next time sure win.

The 6 of us, jieyi yonghao junwei lokto nigel and I, went to have minced meat noodles and etc. Chatted over dinner and went back to walk around a little. Really entertaining just being with them. Though there were some silent moments, but love the accompaniment. Common interest brought us together, and they are nice people. Such friendly people. We have a date on Saturday night for supper! (Okay, basically if you get to know people before they start to form cliques, things are much simpler.)

Saw mary and yx. Organize outing with jordan, soon. Till I get over the sadness over loss.

Things may have turned out bad, but it's all in the mind isn't it. Be strong. We'll overcome these obstacles together. I love you. Is it so hard to tell you in the face? I know, you know. So wipe the tears and move on! Stay strong. :)

<3

you must know i think it's quite stupid to type '<3' but this heart sign really, really, explains so much. for me, at least.

we've had this gift voucher, lunch buffet for 2 for a long while now. on it stated valid for 06 months which would be till may '09, that is if we hadn't used it for just now. Swissotel Merchant Court. Ellenborough Market Cafe. 12pm to 2.30pm. Lunch Buffet for 2.

i called up for reservation on tuesday, to confirm on going on thursday. we took bus to serangoon before changing to train to Clarke Quay. i had it all planned out~ it was a sweet lunch buffet for 2.

basically the food, is nothing compared to Kuishin-bo. i wonder if it's really the food or the company and laughter, but well, there's not much variety to start from.

rice, roasted duck, pork belly w/ preserved vegetable, some fish, brocolli, prawns w/ abalone sauce
sashimi, sea bass, some sushi, dumpling noodles, hokkien mee
salad etc, few kinds of pastes & soup, some cakes, mango pudding, chocolate fondue, watermelon & papaya
nyonya food etc, corn soup, half scallop, oyster?

original price $29/adult on weekdays. food not to my liking haha. lucky it's free.

but the companionship was priceless.
<3

oh not to forget, timetable is out and and and. sicheong, we meet again. i know fate will bring us together hahaha. not one, but TWO tutorials. we're gonna enjoy our classes together yea. i'm actually looking forward to school.

day spent at Bugis. :)

Li Ling asked me few days ago, if I want to go Bugis with Xinyu 大姐 and I agreed immediately after confirmation of Eng Liang's farewell buffet. They were running late, so postponed the meeting time, but I was even later than late. I think it's been a year we've met, the last time at Tampines Mall Ajisen, for dinner. We walked around Bugis Street and Li Ling bought a pair of footwear. Then we proceeded to Muji where she bought really lot of snacks, expiring snacks, that's why it was on discount. I tried the Mango Pudding pack and it was quite sour but definitely of good quality.

We made our way to N.Y.D.C. and sat down with Elmo (after the two friends at our next next table left). Evidence?

I hugged it so tightly coz I was quite cold actually. They each ordered a main course, Three Amigos (with red sauce) and Romeo and Juliet (white sauce) while I chose to have dessert (Cookie Monster Mudpie) instead as it was only 4.30pm and I wasn't hungry. My dessert was $10.95, a dollar cheaper than their main dish I wonder why. I've got no idea why Oreo cookies are widely overly used too.

They left shortly after a visit to Kinokuniya. Now I know where to get cars/motorcycles magazines but they're all in Japanese. While waiting for Jerome, I walked around and found a really cute penguin shirt. Since recent years, I bought whatever I wanted, regardless of the price as long as I have the money to make the purchase. So, I bought the $39.00 T-Shirt and a $59.90 sweatshirt with a hood. $98.90 in total, I'd really think I was out of my mind but come to think of it, I'll just treat this as a reward to my $500+ cheque which would be coming my way soon! It's not that bad, come to think of it........

Jerome has made me realized that all the problems I was having, is due to low blood pressure.
Frequent blur visions, faster heartbeat rate, easily breathless, frequent yawning because lack of oxygen, occasion chest tightening, etc.
Probably because of my nocturnal lifestyle, I'm suffering more of it now. Sleep early, have meals reguarly, so I would regain my usual appetite. He'll make a good combat medic.

First I played the pointless basketball at the arcade, then we began Left 4 Dead. It's the first time completing No Mercy, completing all the maps. I've never enjoyed playing L4D so much coz it doesn't lag! My graphics really cannot make it. I love my laptop nonetheless.

After which, we had a game of DotA among ourselves. He guided me along the way, and the AI weren't very outstanding so we could have won if 2 hours weren't finished so fast. We had a good game of L4D with Marcy and cranky though and it lasted for 1hour and 1min as stated. Then, we played basketball together this time with a score of 328 + 44% accuracy. Not bad I'd say, for he doesn't like such game and I'm not too used to the machines over there.

It was an enjoyable day, beats staying home and cyber stalking anyway.
