my birthdayy! :))

heyy.. it was my birthdayy yesterdayy. okay, i had a number of celebrations with various people. and i'm so happy to receive all the greetings even though it was just a short 'happy birthday, kat!' :)

alright, so on friday (due to my request), our original plan was to have this Seafood buffet at Ritz-Carlton hotel but they obviously find it too expensive.... We decided on Fish & Co. at AMK Hub instead. So as usual (heh), yep, I was late but well, I was too lazy to get out after my late and filling lunch on my favourite fish's cousin - as my mum said it - 豆仓鱼. however, technically i wasn't late@! coz he decided the time to be 1845 and I reached around 15mins earlier.

the people were - Ivan Lim, Tan Hong Rui, Lim Jie Xian and this extra guy, Thomas. ivan is my gunbound friend i knew like 4 years ago, and the rest i just knew from FairyLand haha. i don't just meet any strangers one okay. i had nice chats with them before the outing. i mean, for me to want to know more about online friends, i must really like them.

coincidentally and deliberately for one, we all had New York Fish & Chips. i noticed them whispering and whispering but i didn't think much. until, it was too obvious haha. okay so here goes "fish & co fish & co GO!" and i get a free cheapskate ice-cream, vanilla flavour. but it's the thought that counts right, and it was my very first time having this, celebration.

actually i was supposed to be having dinner with Dennis at The Courtyard, but he had to accompany his girlfriend. however before we confirmed this, i'd already asked them out for dinner. just so coincidentally that it's on the same day, and dennis couldn't make it in the end. i appreciate the kind gesture and the surprise, though. :)

then saturday wasn't so much. i woke up late and missed fetching my moon and michelle, then met the guys up for BTT but the place closed at noon, way before we arrived. meeting gabriel and wuss, we went to this hawker centre nearby eunos for lunch. after which, we travelled to VivoCity for this movie called Body of Lies. not surprised i knew it after the credits, the male lead was Leonardo DiCaprio. we sat at the first front row, so i had a major headache till the rest of the night coz in this movie, it's pretty jerky. well, they're sort of in a war, aren't they.

thanks to jonathan gan, i wasn't the lightbulb for the two. and wow am i surprised jordan kang actually came out to meet us, after what seemed forever. so it was pretty awkward for the two, and lovingly sweet for the two. we settled at HK KimGary Restaurant thanks to adeline's past recommendation. i had the wrapped fish in egg with mushroom sauce, jordan followed suit. jon had korean noodles with ham & egg. gab and wuss had the set meal (which the white sauce doesn't taste nice and it's not that nice overall). jordan had an extra garden fresh broccoli with double cheese, but the cheese tasted like milk instead. mine was the nicest! it was really appetising and once in a million, i finished first! haha. so you can guess how nice it was. i'm going back for that same bowl.

the night ends off with jon and i at the interchange, waiting for his 196. it's been a while we had a chat over the wait and of coz, it was nice. :)

sunday! mum and i decided to patronise KFC after a millioneth day, and they decided to turn us away, just as it was our turn. i hate KFC and i would never wake up early just for their overly-priced breakfast, period. we went to our highly reliable Burger King instead. expensive, but it was worth every while, considering the service and the food quality. i just love that turkey ham croissantwich and those round-shaped hashbrowns.

coz i woke up early, i was basically tired and really lazy so even if i was meeting wen at 7pm, i reached 45mins later *whoops*. and gem was waiting patiently (she had to) at bugis. meibin needed to rush project and derrick, couldn't go. we went to the bbq steamboat opposite parco bugis, right in front of TopOne karaoke. overall the food wasn't bad but it was soooooo warm!!! the fish was nice and quite fresh and maybe the prawns too. notice i didn't say 'very fresh'. i didn't had my fill coz bugis village was closing and actually i had quite a lot. mainly i didn't had much rice, and mostly fed on fish lol.

they took me to bugis village and i bought some things.. well. we took bus 7 home and that marks the end of my birthday. but after that i had a really long and rare chat with steve haha. for someone as busy as him, it's hard to chat with him but all's well, for him and for us. :)

today, monday, the long-awaiting Singapore Flyer lol. we went to Eighteen Chefs which i've forgotten about for 2 years and the food is still as good or even better! For just $11.20 for 2, you get to enjoy a cheese baked pasta/rice, an iced tea, with an additional free ice-cream with chocolate chips! what a delicious meal with that small boy asking if we enjoyed the meal, how sweet can it get. (:

we rushed to city hall, and the 30mins flew past just like that. the peak was only 1675m (or so) and even for someone who's afraid of heights (like me) it wasn't very tall really. i thought i would tremble or something but apparently not. then off we zoomed to Popeye's the sailorman *hoo hoo* and have some biscuits or two. With discounts to Movenpick's ice-cream, we made use of it. some coffee ice-cream which was not bad, but it tasted more like Mocha than Expresso. that chocolate truffle cake was so sweet we had to play scissors-paper-stone to see who finish the last 3 bites. and that wangjie's service was so bad! i wonder if it's because her english is too lousy or she's in a gloomy mood or she just can't serve. i wonder why she has been left in charge alone. i wouldn't trust her if i were the in-charge. and it made me miss the me when i was working slogging for primetrica. i apologise for nothing and everything lol. so polite i was so shocked to realise. but shortly after i quitted, i slowly returned to my normal self haha.

this marks the end. but there's more to come. cuiwen, my moon, and simei part 2. (:

THANKS GUYS. i appreciate everything, deep down inside my heart. even if you didn't wished me, i know you remember. somehow i don't know what i did, there's a handful who CANNOT forget my birthday. gabriel, raymond, steve, jonathan gan. the others like jiekai, chin hong, daniel, derrick always make an effort to remember haha. yea i'm touched! but i really have no idea what 'charm' i did to them LOL. etched in their hearts, i guess. and i believe we won't lose touch. :)

food for thought.

i played a bit of basketball last thursday, but next day i had a whole body of muscle aches. i went to work, feeling extremely cold, then warmed up myself, back to coldness. this vicious cycle caused my body to heat up and with headaches till today. i missed 2 days of fun with the guys and my basic pay. however, as the saying goes, tomorrow is a better day.

whatever angry thoughts i said, it's in a fit of anger. my thinking is constantly changing haha. dhatch asked me to go for this usher interview at national library for their drama stage. the pay is really attractive, even better than that of SSO. the interview was, quite bad in my opinion well...

most importantly, we went for dinner after that. my only meal that day. the title of the dish is too long i don't remember but the buttery corn along with my special ham is really yummy! her basil spaghetti is marvelous too, but please, don't add any extra hotness to it.

the dessert. we found this shop because of the 'free dessert if you spend above $12' but obviously we've forgotten. the meal was filling enough. then the desserts - date pudding and brownie. the brownie isn't the normal cheap ones, it's very enriching but would taste better with a scoop of ice-cream. the date pudding, is actually more of a muffin and there's no 'date' taste! the flavour lingered in my mouth for that rest of the night and i was still thinking about it the next day! it was really special and unforgettable. even more recommended than the chocolate brownie.

i went there for that dessert that doctor recommended but i couldn't find it. as i exit, this girl was eating the velvet red dessert with white coating. no wonder! i'm going back~~ with dhatch. :D

one of my happiest day.

before i start my tutorials....

(tuesday) it all began with my 9am adjusted tutorial, my dad sent me to school. the one and only time we'd get close. being sleepy for only having 3 hours rest, i overlooked the fact that the teaching was slow, so it was pretty on track to me. then, i went over to mcdonalds for dhatch, florence, chia hui and honghui. she's still the same, not as high-pitched voice. we chatted, walked past A star and there! Chang Song, Sam Chong, Yu Xiang, Jon Gan, Mary-anne. they sms-ed me for the movie REC - long time no watch movie with them! regarding the roadshow too, mary's working so she might come over for supper.

we strolled to school, then separated to different locations. it's been quite some time i've seen them around in school haha. lecture was done quite smoothly, then commsk was short and sweet again. with nothing to do, i met xiao ai, emylee and jianyong (xiaohei). chatted with them over the computer, one after another (sat separately). after which we went over to design school for the spaghetti with sausage. it was so little even though i added extra spaghetti. sausage was well, worth it's money. what do ya expect for $3+1? not as if it's botak jones' $7 gigantic italian sausage. :o

training was tough as usual. after that, we had pretty much to talk about. that's what i like about this new batch hoho. we can communicate better i don't know why. especially agustian! and junwei, who hasn't been coming but i've psycho-ed him to go later. then there's xiao ai, and lokto with common basketball interest! also, i've gotten yonghao and quanliang 's numbers. see when the need arises hah. saucony, miss that buggy ride :D

cma really sounds like cmi to me. :/

from emotional to delectable

actually i wonder how many people really know me. i get irritated really easily nowadays and vent all my frustrations only in one place - home. i've been trying hard but in the end i just let out my emotions, couldn't control them. it's like i'm really emotional ... which is so un-me coz it's just, too expressive.

i wonder if the things i once stood firm to, do i have the same stand still? improvements are not part of growing up. it's a part of life.

i worry for my future, how am i going to complete proposals after proposals whatever administrative job i take. i wonder which of my potential job prospects is really paperwork-free.

i've been wasting enough time, time for an early good night rest and a training stretching my potential to the fullest. after the final completion of FOI, which was not part of my plan.

i'm looking people for the fullerton hotel chocolate fondue, kuishin-bo buffet, ultimate indulgence chocolate cake, choc-a-lot cake, haagen dazs double chocolate curl ice cream cake oh and i welcome billy bombers again for that 1-for-1 treat during this coming weekends! my, seeing food, my entire mood has been lighten up. i yearn to try all sorts of cakes of gelaré, secret recipes, starbucks etc etc. those which i can find much cheaper than in Singapore as compared to in Malaysia. how i wish i could drive now, with my own personal car, making trips to and forth in the speed of lightning! this is what i really want, for now.

my guitar skills - cmi still. piano - need to scout for a good centre (so much for long fingers). however, after a week of sore throat and bits of coughing, i'm no longer sick! thank God!
i hope this coming roadshow would be a success, and may we pool again~ i want to make loads of money to try different kinds of food lol. this, really is my ultimate motive for the riches. four seasons durian café with mum! soon, i hope. we, the children, need to repay the parents for their sweat and saliva in whatever they did, all for the goodness in us.

Food For Thought
contributes to a good cause! Must support.
Durian road stall which seems to have good quality durians. Shall go there and see.
Hard Rock Café is also one of the places I've yet to visit. Dhatch go with me!

I'm in good mood to treats but my wallet says no all the time. :(
