my first hindi* movie

It was a whole new experience of course, with my friend Dhatchayani, an Indian. I had no idea why I was watching with her but she really, really wanted to watch. And the title is "Chandni Chowk to China".

First we had our lunch at The Central's Manhattan Fish Market. The fish was excellent, service so-so, price was affordable! I would definitely go again for the Grilled Platter for One/Two or something similar.

Then we bought tickets at Jade cinema! It was my first time visiting Jade and I was actually quite surprised to see a Chinese serving at the box office. She was quite old though. The one in charged of candy bar, and the one who opened the door were Chinese too! I mean, this cinema shows films in Tamil, natural people who watch it would know Tamil, and Chinese don't. Nvm.

The film was really unexpectedly funny though a bit cliché and WOW, it's been a long time since I've had a 3-hour long movie. It was really worth my $8 which had an intermission for nothing. It was more of a tradition and has no reason for it anymore. I didn't expect to see Chinese acting in it though the movie title is to CHINA. Just didn't had that thought.

Anyway, the main actor was a Taekwondo black belt thus he was chosen. With all the stunts and fights the main actor has to put up, it would be of course be at optimum if he already knew how to fight without injuring himself. Though there weren't many people in the theatre, I saw Chinese watching it! Haha another WOW. This is the best indian film I've even seen, though it's my first. It's very interesting with the plot, the acting, the fighting etc. What's more, there's a sequel which is gonna be "China to Africa" hah.

We both had no idea Chandni Chowk was a part of India, btw. Many thanks to the subtitles if not we wouldn't really understand the whole thing lol. And Dhatch, you owe me $8 still.
